“Lighthouse, Walking Trails, Beaches, Lookouts”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 9, 2013

If you are in Byron Bay you sure want to visit Cape Byron. Visit the lighthouse, have a walk to the easternmost part of Australia or enjoy the beach.

“Night-time Lighthouse”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 26, 2013

Brought my daughter up to watch the light of the lighthouse revolve at night. Nice on a hazy night and surprised by how many tourists made the journey to the small carpark outside the locked gate at the top of Lighthouse Road.

“At the easterly point in Australia”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 19, 2013

If you are at Byron Bay you cannot miss Cape Byron Lighthouse and surroundings. It costs $7 if you arrive before 4:30 pm but afterwards it's free. Not only the Lightouse is interesting to see, but also the magnificent views of the whole Byron Bay, Mt. Warning and all the chain of mountains at the border of Queensland with New South Wales. Also we had the opportunity to watch a whale beating her tail in the water. As a bonus point one can go to the Easterly Point in Australia (where the New Year really begins for the whole world) and if nobody is around to take a picture of all the group, don't worry, there is a fixture (standing tripod) where you can fix your camera at will. By the way there is another one at the balcony of Cape Byron with one fixture vertical and one horizontal. Great idea! Thanks to the NSW National Park Government.

“Long Walk but Well Worth it”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 22, 2013

Great place, it's quite a walk but is well worth it. There's a small bay at the bottom which is really nice. Most easterly point of Australia!

“Not just beaches”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 4, 2013

Cape Byron is not just about the range of beaches up & down the coastline, it's also the park at palm valley, the bbq area, the walks and trails. There is so much more to do than just surf and swim at Byron Bay. There are great cafes right on the coast like The Pass cafe and Byron Beach cafe which are a great option when you're spending a day on the coast.
