“Fantastic!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 18, 2013

After reading all the glowing reviews my cousin and I decided to stay here for two nights for her birthday and we weren't disappointed- we wished we could have stayed longer! The owners and staff went over and beyond helpful- giving us recommendations on pubs, restaurants, clubs, buses, taxis, directions and things to do - yes, we asked a lot of questions, and they didn't lose patience once- they even helped me do my laundry! The accommodation itself was fantastic- the pool area and spa were beautiful and peaceful to relax in- despite Aabi's being conveniently just round the corner from the main street, and the room itself was lovely, comfortable and modern. Will definitely be back!

Children's mother day gift was a weekend stay at Aabi's which was most enjoyable. Our room was downstairs with easy access to the pool area. We enjoyed the spa in the pool area at night and also prepared our breakfasts in the kitchen inside the pool area. Parking is inside the grounds of Aabi's. People in reception were very friendly and helpful. Aabi's has a lovely ambience and although we were out and about for most of the weekend, the room felt very welcoming each time we returned. Tea making facilities are available in the room as well as the pool area and inside the reception area (latter locked at night). Aabi's is an easy walk into town and the beach and there are many delightful restaurants very nearby.

I can't tell you how blessed I was with this little find. I am single traveller and wanted a little treat and to feel safe. This was that and so much more. I had come from a dodgy hotel stay in Lismore and Ro and Owen were amazing and helped me wash all my things and get settled. I honestly didn't want to leave. They have everything you need, indoor and outdoor spaces that you can cook your own food and a hop skip, jump from centre of town but still quiet. So so thankful to them both. The rooms and view over the pool a piece of paradise. Loved it.

It is a very lovely house that is away from the noise but yet walking distance to the main area. It is a very modern house that is peaceful and you get your own privacy. There is also common areas where you can cook and a beautiful pool you can enjoy a swim in. They provide everything a hotel provides and even better.

What a wonderful gem this hotel is. We were lucky enough to choose it whilst staying for three nights in Byron Bay. The rooms our outstanding and the hosts were warm and friendly at all times. The quality of the fitments in the rooms our superb and it was so good to have the kitchen facilities where we could make our breakfast then sit in the sunshine next to the pool to eat it. We would have loved to stay longer but they were fully booked.

Thank you for a wonderful stay and hope one day we will be able to come back again

This little place is by far the best hotel I have stayed whilst in Australia. Customer care was outstanding. Nothing was too much trouble for the owners who really did go that extra mile to make you feel at home. We really appreciated being able to return to the hotel after check-out and use the facilities to freshen up before our flight home.
The hotel itself is so tranquil that as you step onto the premises you can feel all the stress evaporate. There is a feng-shui feel to the place with its lovely water features dotted around, a BBQ area, gorgeous pool and jacuzzi. The rooms are large, spottless and extremely comfortable.
The location is about a 2 minute walk into the town - parking is available on site, but there is also plenty of space on street.
We left completely chill-axed!

I reserved 3 nights' accommodation at Aabi's as a surprise trip to Byron for my partner's birthday. The location seemed perfect (and was) - only a 7 minute walk into the hub, but far enough away to escape the noise the pub and backpacker atmosphere that Byron creates after dark. Gated parking was also a plus.

Reception staff were amazing. Owen went beyond the call of duty in fashioning a voucher for me so that I had something to present my partner with on his birthday. This made all the difference and I was very grateful knowing that it must have taken quite some time. While we didn't have any other encounters with reception staff apart from our check-in and check-out, we were made to feel welcome and appreciated that they were quite happy to leave us alone for the duration of our stay.

We booked the upstairs King Room which was lovely and worth the extra money. The floors and furniture were very clean and appliances were all modern. The bed was comfortable but the frame is one of those ones that clumsy people such as my partner and myself tend to hit their shins on, so watch out for that! :) I was pleased to see that the tea and coffee station had a good selection of Madura teas and some Byron Bay cookies. Other things like soap in the bathroom also had a local flavour to it.

The free wi-fi was a great addition to our stay.

Although it was quite rainy during our stay, and thus not swimming weather, the pool looked amazing and very well maintained.

The only issue we had (and it is a very small one and partly our fault for not mitigating) was with the linen. The linen on our bed was fine - very clean. But it was quite cold during our stay and we found the need to pull out the blanket stored in the closet as we weren't sure whether the air conditioning was reverse-cycle and aren't fans of using it, regardless. Our blanket was quite thin - nothing else provided - and for some reason had someone else's hair all over it. I'm not sure if the cleaners thought it hadn't been used the last time someone stayed there, or it had just been through a bad washing load, or it was just an oversight.

I'm sure, had we brought it up to the staff, that we would have been provided with another. Whenever we were passing through, there was no one there and we didn't make an effort to keep checking back just to raise the issue. Obviously it didn't bother us enough to actually take steps to change anything, and it did not have a huge impact on the quality of our time there.

Overall it was a wonderful stay and we would definitely go back!

Room Tip: Definitely pick rooms on the top floor, it mitigates noise as people walk through the middle of the...
