“Ou current Braidwood go-to”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 3, 2013

Braidwood has a few lovely places for coffee. I'm sure Dojo, currently ranked #1 is excellent but an artisan baker is no place for a gluten-free person! We haven't been to TorPeas since the place has been re-jigged, but the Albion is usually open and always has lovely gluten free options. Today's Raspberry Almond cake/muffin being a perfect example. We asked for it warmed with cream and they obliged. The coffee - apparently from Lonsdale St Roasters in Canberra - was wonderful. Strong but smooth with a nice cream. The ambience inside is cosy, even though it's quit spacious. The verandah is nice on a nice day.

“Great Breakfast in an atmospheric setting”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 3, 2013

Stopped off here on a very early morning trip and were treated by great eggs and bacon (me) and some really tasty pancakes (wife). Really friendly staff, who went out of their way to make sure we had a great meal and the food was super-fresh and quick, with a great range of specials if you fancy something a little different. Coffee was very good too and it is a great atmospheric little place. We have eaten at both here and the Torpeas recently and can't split them, definitely check out both next time your visiting or passing through

“Awesome”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 13, 2013

No visit to Braidwood would be complete without at least one visit to The Albion. Delightful and knowledgable owners and staff, fantastic modern food, yummy cocktails and wine, and great service. Even a fire and comfy chairs for some romantic pre-dinner drinks. We returned for breakfast and it was just as good!

“Coffee and cake #1”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 1, 2013

One unseasonably warm Sunday afternoon, we sat on the veranda of the old Albion Hotel, now a buzzing, happy daytime restaurant. They serve dinner on Saturday nights only. We'd already eaten way too much that weekend but had to at least try the Albion coffee. Going inside to order meant standing next to their cake display.... and it was way too good to resist. I ordered a flourless citrus cake and a rhubarb blueberry muffin. There were two of us. I'm not a complete guts. Usually I can take or leave a muffin and this was no exception but my mate totally loved it. The citrus cake with a juicy slab of sticky orange on top and a pot of rich cream was superb. It was tangy, fresh and tart. Just perfect. The coffee was strong, rich and just like I like it!

“Really good”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 23, 2013

A hidden gem. Quesadillas and fritters both fabulous. Service lovely and a really nice setting. City service, value and style in the middle of nowhere.
