Old fashioned to the max, loved the wallpaper, Broadhurst I think. The room we got was probably their smallest, but it had a comfy bed, TV, tea and coffee making facilities and plenty of toiletries, but no hairdryer, luckily I had one with me. We played Chess in the guest lounge, and it was just like staying at a friend house. We didn't use the pool facilities, but I was given a small tour when we booked in, the restaurant looked very nice, but we didn't eat there. About a 5 minute walk to the main street.

We were looking for 1 night accommodation (Sunday) around bowral on the Friday before the October Long Weekend. For $215-00 (including buffet breakfast) this was perfect. As per other reviews this is an old building but is clean & comfortable. If I was forced to come up with a negative maybe the Bedsize could be upgraded from Double to Queen but the bed itself was very comfortable. The Bathroom was obviously recently renovated and was very modern. The Manor is sited beside a golf course and is very quiet at night. We were able to walk about 1 km to be in the centre of Bowral township. We will be returning the Southern Highlands and we will certainly be rebooking with Berida Manor.

Room Tip: We stayed in Room 49 which faced the golf course. To access the room you nedd to climb a small stair...

Our one night stay at the Berida Manor was delightful. Welcoming, easygoing and unpretentious, our room was simple and gracious, not fancy but attractive and well laid out - my husband and I shared a room with our two young boys and even with a double, a single and a fold out bed it didn't feel too crowded. The hotel was great fun to explore for our kids, with a great spacious games room with chess, noughts and crosses, scrabble, magazines and books and a roaring log fire. The swimming pool and spa were clean and lovely, water a nice temperature. Gardens and tennis courts fun to wander around and play in. A lot of older people there which gave it a gracious atmosphere but we never felt unwelcome with our rambunctious and excited boys. Shower in the room was good - I had read somewhere that the water was either scalding or cold but it was perfect. Friendly manager and sections of the hotel done in exquisite gold peacock wallpaper were highlights for me. And the suit of armour in the lobby was highlight for the kids. Would happily recommend it for a Bowral retreat and look forward to returning. Good value for money.

From first arrival to check out, can't fault this place: strongly recommended.

The building is very old and has been well-maintained but kept in character, complemented by a pretty front garden and mid-resort courtyard. The rooms are clean and well-kept in fitting with the old style, except the new bathrooms. There were plenty of extra blankets as well as two heaters though we did not need them as it was springtime. There is ample parking though not under cover.

Facilities are plentiful: heated indoor swimming pool, spa and sauna (heaven!), pool tables, ping pong tables, and two outdoor tennis courts (these could use some TLC but are still usable). The buffet breakfast is high standard with lots of variety (did not try dinner on this short stay).

Staff are friendly and professional, especially the front desk with lots of local knowledge helped us make the most of our stay.

Room Tip: All rooms are quiet. There are no lifts and no baggage service, but only two floors so not far to ca...

We stayed at the berida manor for two days with a group from botanica, the meals were lovely, and we enjoyed our pre dinner drinks in the bar area, the hotel is very old fashioned and could do with a bit of a makeover, but overall it was clean and comfortable....we were in room 30 and could have done with the curtains being thicker as the lights from outside shone in the room...

Room Tip: we did have a nice big room in room 30, and a big bay window, but was adjoining the car park, but if...

If you don't enjoy a sleep-in on a wet, freezing Sunday morning then this is the place for you. Bowral can be cold at any time outside the summer but we expected our room would be warm.
It wasn't.
We travelled with another couple and had two rooms. We enjoyed a Saturday night dinner at Biota then briskly walked back to our room which was little warmer than being outside. Nonetheless the room was clean and spacious enough.
Bowral is a town you go to for a weekend retreat. It has character and charm but having to be up early to chug down breakfast and be ready to vacate the room early on a Sunday morning when nothing is open was ridiculous. We had each asked for an extension...even an hour would have been nice, but no, there would be no exceptions.
Perhaps it is also used as a military training facility.

Room Tip: Find a warm one in winter.
