“Always excellent food & coffee”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 2, 2013

Fast becoming my favourite cafe in Bowral, the menu is fab, service is good & so friendly. When it's busy though, you can be left waiting a bit with no explanation or quiet word from the staff which might make you think they've forgotten... Sitting outside is my favoured option as my only fault with this cafe is inadequate extractor fans/ventilation. If you sit inside, you are most likely to come out reeking of bacon and eggs etc I'm sure this can be easily fixed.
I'll be back often regardless :)

“Give it a miss”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed May 14, 2013

The cafe lost our booking, blamed it on 'the new girl' and were not initially apologetic about it but questioned us about who made the booking and when. From then - it just got worse! The wait staff appeared confused about who was doing what, it took forever for a then third waiter to come to enable our order to be taken, the drinks took forever and the waiters were all particularly grumpy when we asked them to refill the water or told them that we were ready to order. We had to tell them because they were not at all attentive and kept telling us it was 'so busy'. Generally a restaurant/cafe should be busy at lunch and able to handle a 'rush hour' (particularly when not even at capacity). Lunch was edible - the cafe has a limited menu and there was too much sauce on the dish - but none of us would recommend it to anyone else. We left to have dessert and coffee elsewhere. Seriously, give it a miss. No-one needs the bad attitude of the wait staff for such little gain in the food department!

“Great cafe”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 29, 2013

Excellent food. The sourdough sandwiches are divine! Great friendly service as well. I am fussy with food and ambience and this has both in abundance.

“Excellent service and great food for breakfast or brunch”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2013

I highly recommend this cafe. The food was delicious and the service very good. I had the poached egg with the potato rosti and a load of good things. Every item was cooked well and cleanly!

It is often passed over as tourists focus on the Bong BOng Street Cafes. You cant miss it as the road is parallel to Bong Bong Street and the cafe is a little blue cottage. Don't be misled by the size of the cottage outside there are many tables and inside it has been very nicely refurbished.
