“'My Husbands Dream Came True'”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 21, 2014

This was a trip of a life time for us, it had always been a dream of my husband's to visit the place where his hero played. The museum was great and very informative, lots of memorabilia. But the ground and stand is in such a lovely place. We loved it, but did not have enough time really to see it all as we had to be in Sydney for a tour of the SCG at 2.00pm.

“An interesting commentary on life in another era”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 14, 2014

Have been before but even though am not a cricket "tragic", there is so much to enjoy. While there is so much to appreciate on the pure sporting activities, I also enjoyed particularly a couple of human aspects.
One was the video on the "bodyline" series in the 1930's where this technique was used to restrict Don Bradman's scores - it was a dubious technique that not all the English players supported but also caused huge ructions between Australian and English national relations.
Also enjoyed the video interview with Don Bradman as he recalled his life and talked about how hard life was in the depression era - the exhibition is therefore more than just batas and balls and statistics - there is also a very human side.

Hello Ron,

Thank you for the wonderful review after your visit in February. It was great to hear your comments on the Bodyline film as well as the Bradman interviews, the controversie surrounding the Bodyline test is still talked about today. We look forward to seeing you again.

“A great afternoon”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 31, 2014

My partner suggested here and I was indifferent about it but I have to say it was a fun couple of hours and very informative. The archivist must have had a great time sorting everything out. Bowral is very pretty. We stopped and had lunch at stumpys. The burgers are very tasty. Congratulations on your work.

“A great experience for all.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 24, 2014

I don't know who put this together, but it is one of the best collections of cricket memorabilia I've seen. The entry fee is very reasonable, the layout well thought out and just an amazing place to visit. My grandchildren had a wonderful time there, we spent two and a half hours viewing the exhibits but my husband and I could have spent more time inspecting the fantastic array of bradman memories.

Hello Starfish52_10,

thank you for writing a great review about your visit to the Bradman Museum, so glad to hear you got to share in the history and love of the game with your grandchildren, we try to keep the Bodyline and interactive displays easy for the children to relate to as it was a big part of the history of the game. David Wells OAM is the curator of the Museum and has worked tirelessly over many years to put the exhibition together and a credit to him for what he has achieved. We look forward to you visiting with us again.

“A must for cricket fans”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 24, 2014

Following England's humiliating 5-0 drubbing by Australia in the 2013-2014 Ashes we decided to extend the torture and visit the museum of Australian Cricket's most famous son Sir Donald Bradman. We had been once before in 2001 and had heard about many improvements to the content. We were not disappointed the exhibits are excellent and bang up to date as well because there was the broken bat and shirt of England opening batsman Carberry from the Sydney Test just 8 days previous. Allow at least 2-3 hours to do the museum justice. If cricket is also taking place on the Bradman Oval that is a bonus as is the outside tearoom. A must for all cricket lovers!

hello The Doctor 1941,

Thank you for your wonderful review of the Bradman International Cricket Hall of Fame, especially after the 5-0 drubbing England recieved. The new exhibition space is a great testament to the History of the wonderful game of Cricket and we are glad you made the trip again to see the new additions. Cricket on beautiful Bradman Oval is a wonderful site and we have a pretty full fixtures list in the cricket season glad you could watch a match whilst you were here.
