We have eaten at Biota three or four times in the past year,most recently for a Mothers Day lunch.The restaurant is a stand-out in the Southern Highland and quite honestly would justify a drive from Sydney,particularly with the trees of Bowral in golden leaf.
The room is beautifully decorated with a welcoming feel as you arrive..not fussy but elegant,with tables far enough apart to allow for expansive conversation.
The produce is all grown locally or sourced locally and we had a prawn risotto that was one of the best dishes I have eaten this year.
They were incredibly helpful in finding an alternative for my daughter who didn't want the fish course and the wine recommendation was spot on for the food.
There were a number of families with children celebrating the occasion and there was no sense that the staff were phased by this.
