I don't really have a lot of time to write reviews for places we go to atm because of my baby twins, but I really do care/like Silos Estate and wanted to defend it, after seeing some of the reviews here.
We now tried their Spa Suite, which was connected to their Sitting Room Suite. The Spa Suite was even better than the Sitting Room Suite, not only for its size due to a full dining table and living room, but also for the lovely additions in the fridge that allows you to cook a hearty breakfast in the kitchen.
Yes, you can hear people's footsteps next door and muffled conversations, but this is a boutique place in a country setting, so some allowances for quality need to be taken into account. It's not going to be a 5 stars suite setting with complete privacy...If you want that, then you may have to pay for their premium accommodation the Vines Cottage, which is further up the hill.
We finally got to try the restaurant for dinner. It was lovely for the setting but can be better. Some of the meals were cold, dry or over seasoned, but despite that, its a pleasant place to go to but I wouldn't necessarily travel all the way back there for a meal, until they improve their quality.
I thoroughly enjoyed their lunch the last time I went to Silos, so the quality may be a hit and miss experience.
Overall, if you are still thinking over whether or not you should go to Silos, then take all of the above considerations into account. I really enjoy going there and would love to try their Vines Cottage next time.
Keep up the good work Silos! And your service is wonderful.
