“Pleasant stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 7, 2012

Great value for money and position.
Some traffic was heard in the night but the owners were very nice and friendly . Our check in and check out times were very flexible which accommodated our needs perfectly.

Lake view room, very tired rooms, old bathroom and cruddy old tv set... Has an outdoor area and small wharf viewing the lake which is beautiful, but the tired old rooms and bathrooms are certain disappointing. Bedding and mattress is of modern standard and had a great sleep however, would return just for the wharf and sleep quality....

OK so its a cheap place to stay but when I mean cheap I mean the entire hotel should be demolished. The rooms are extremely small and very very tired. Old fittings, old everything. There is no food available either at dinner or more surprisingly breakfast which makes it a bit hard when you have a big day ahead of you, so you need to find somewhere else to eat as soon as you leave. On checkout at 8:00am I had to call the main hotel number as the entire hotel was locked up as the people who run the hotel were not out of bed yet, so I had to wait downstairs for 10mins before I could checkout. The lady couldn't even print me off an invoice, all she could do is give me a receipt from credit card machine, a bit difficult for work.
The location on the banks of the lake is wonderful but totally spoilt by this hotel, it could be such a wonderful place to stay in the heart of Belmont - too bad. Just forget it.

Room Tip: if you're going to stay there ask for a room on the lake side.

Stayed one night. Very nice people but advertised as having restaurant opened 7 days but . there is no restaurant. Had arranged to have dinner with friends, they drover all the way here and then we had to go back to Newcastle. Outdoors not as per photos. Clean rooms but well overpriced for conveniences. Tiny room very old fashioned, broken blind. very limited tv including foxtel. Bad reception on old tv. Had to squeeze around furniture and very old fashioned tiny shower. Broken blind had to ring to get help to close it. Overpriced at $145. would not recommend or stay again. Now staying in 2 bed modern unit closer to town for only$125 with pool.

Room Tip: Ask to see room BEFORE you pay!

Stayed 1 night only. Room very small but clean. Lakeview room $130 overpriced as not in high season. Airconditioner worked well and you need it. Should have looked at reviews because I thought if you walked in you got cheaper room price. I paid more that if I had booked. Staff pleasent. Room not equiped with bowls or cutlery.
Great view over lake.
