“Nice and quiet”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 3, 2014

We found this place passing through from QLD to NSW and booked at the very last minute. The staff were helpful and friendly, our room was spacious, very clean and modern.
The kids enjoyed the pool, however the garden around the edges was in dire need of a good pruning as the foliage was hanging into the pool.
We really enjoyed the peace and quiet away from traffic and guests in other rooms and would easily stay again.

We were just passing through Ballina and this was a great place to stop. A little way out of the centre (20 mins walk) but a good sized room, a kitchenette and fridge and a decent TV. There;s even a small pool and, perhaps inevitably, a BBQ; as well as a chill out zone. There's free wifi in the rooms if you ask for the code (no quibble - the receptionist was amazingly laid back).

What we didn't know was we weren't the only ones passing through. It's not the Palms fault, although it may be indicative, but everyone else seemed to be in a hurry to leave and car doors started slamming from 6:30 am (on a Saturday!), and when we left at 8:30 we were the last to go!

Room Tip: Maybe try to get as far from the reception as possible, but then you'd be near the pool.

Massive thank you to the fabulous owner manager, felt welcome straight away, could have chatted all day, has a brilliant sense of humour, impeccable taste in the rooms, just fabulous. As a female area sales rep I need to feel comfortable and safe whilst travelling. This is by far the best motor inn I've stayed in , in 20 years of sales. The bed is comfy, the shower is great, rooms great size, fabulous cleaning crew. The rooms were immaculate. Excellant stay, I highly recommend this accommodation.

We stayed for only one night as we were passing through but would have stayed more. Our room was lovely and clean and looked as though it had recently been updated. The entire place is furnished to give it a Balinese resort feel and it looks fantastic. Value for money here can not be beaten. We will definitely stay again.

There were two of us staying in a twin room at Ballina Palms. The first impressions were great, from the way we were greeted and checked in, to the pristine condition of our unit. It only got better from there.
The unit had a very new feel, with everything handy to enjoy a cuppa or iron a shirt. The shower would be the best I've ever come across in a hotel (and I've stayed in many). It's more like a waterfall whose temperature you can instantly control.
We had the room service breakfast which was delivered right on time by our very efficient and friendly host. It was also everything that we expected and more.
I'm looking forward to my next trip to Ballina to go back to Ballina Palms again. I highly recommend it for value and excellence.

We recently stayed at Ballina Palms for a week, and enjoyed every minute there. An outstanding place to stay. Spotlessly clean, very well apointed, very comfortable beds. A well designed kitchen and bathroom made our stay very easy. Lovely landscaped gardens with many interesting, oriental artifacts. Close to all Ballina's many attractions. True there are some minor noise issues, not enough to keep you awake. Would stay here again, and recommend highly.
