“Cup and Saucer Trail”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 22, 2013

I've been climbing since a teenager and still go 2-3-4 times per year. Easy enough but challenging enough. Beautiful views in all directions

I have hiked the Cup and Saucer Trail many times and always I see something different. Every season has its own special view. You can't help but love the place.

“Great view”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed September 24, 2013

We needed a day off our bikes and so headed out on the cup and saucer trail to see the view. This trail is poorly marked and we made two forays in the wrong direction before finally reaching our destination.

“Good trail, you can make it as difficult as you want”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 9, 2013

This trail is one of reasons I went to the effort of traveling to Manitoulin Island on my tour of Ontario as it sounded so good in the guidebook. There are 2 x main trails (white and blue) and 2 side trails (adventure and one to the high point). So if you don't want to do the adventure trail you can totally miss it out and not have to back track. However, you do need shoes with good grip, there are 2 sections with quite steep, rocky areas, and the rest of the trail can be uneven so it is no good for people with limited mobility or children in buggies. There are great views from the cliffs across the island, and the view from the lookout is great too.

There are no facilities at the trailhead, so bring your own water and food, and go to the bathroom before you set off.

I didn't really have any problems with the trail marking, but one think that confused me is that there is minimal route choice guidance on the main map of the trail, but the mini-maps along the trail have a suggested route and 'one way' system (especially on the adventure trail).
