“Fantastic B & B!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 31, 2013

It isn`t surprising that the reviews are so good for this place - this B & B is superb. Heather and Tim are great hosts - helpful, friendly and kind. The accommodation is very comfortable and absolutely spotless throughout. We have stayed on the Roseland Peninsula before and it was a real treat to go back. The breakfast - full of locally sourced ingredients - was superb. And as for the bacon? "To die for" is an expression that I`d use! A good example of the way Heather and Tim run the Treverbyn was that, during our recent two night stay, a German couple happened to be visiting the area. The lady wanted to take back an English rose for her Mother and had looked at various local garden centres to no avail. The hosts stepped in, got on to the internet and found a local specialist nursery that sold some. I think that`s what`s called "going the extra mile". We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be back! Thank you Heather and Tim for your wonderful hospitality. Best wishes, James, Cheryl and John.

We absolutely loved our stay at Treverbyn House! Tim and Heather were personable, welcoming, very helpful and the place was immaculate. Breakfast was great and fueled our walk to Portloe, my grandmother's birthplace. Thoroughly enjoyed the village of Veryan; it was picturesque and wonderful waking to the sound of church bells and the cooing of pigeons!!
We'll be back some day! Thanks!!! Tim & Heather, you helped to make some wonderful memories!

Wow, thank you for a lovely review, we really glad you enjoyed your time with us and were able to see the lovely fishing village where your Grandmother was born. You certainly didn't let your mobility issues get in the way, hopefully that is now all recovered. We would love to welcome you back to Treverbyn in the future, until then take care & have fun!!

Kind regards

We stayed (sadly) for just one night in this delightful little B&B. I was travelling with my two American friends who had selected this accommodation as one of our overnight stops, whilst planning their whistle stop visit to Cornwall, from their home in Michigan, USA! The decision to stay at Treverbyn House was based upon advisor reviews and a great deal of faith and I'm so happy to say it was a perfect choice! Tim and Heather were the perfect hosts, taking time to make sure that we were settled and comfortable in our large, clean and airy rooms. The twin room which I stayed in was an ample size, the bathroom had a shower over a large bath, which was a welcome feature after an afternoon of horse riding! Breakfast was made to order, and when I mentioned to Tim that I was vegetarian, he offered veggie sausages as an option, which was MUCH appreciated, and another reflection of how our hosts were prepared to 'bend over backwards' to make our stay a home from home experience! Veryan is a super little place and the icing on the cake was Treverbyn B&B! Thanks Tim and Heather, and sweet little Poppy, can't wait to come and stay again.

We booked a night here at the last minute due to a camping mishap down the road in Portscatho, so arrived with little expectation or knowledge of the accommodation, and what a pleasant surprise we had.

The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable, with soft sheets and fluffy towels, a good shower, Wifi (helpful as no mobile reception) tea making facilities, and everything you need really. Although the B n B is on a corner, we heard no traffic from the road. It's such a quiet (and lovely) litle village that it doesn't get much through traffic.

Breakfast was cooked to order. We had delicious home-made porridge. We saw other guests with a full English which looked great also.

What really made our stay special was the little touches Heather and Tim provide. They really went the extra mile to help us during our stay (we mis-read the bus time-table and found ourselves in danger of missing our train until they found a way around it for us) and seemed very genuine people.

When we're next in this part of the world - which we will be, it's beautiful - we'll certainly be sure to spend a night or two here!

Room Tip: We had a twin room. I think they have a double and a single as well. So worth requesting which one s...

This is everything a bed and breakfast should be. Spotless, bright and airy.Tim very kindly got up at 6am to cook my breakfast as I was taking part in a long distance swim.
On arrival Tim told us were we could walk down to the beach which was a lovely stroll and helped us to relax after the long drive he booked a table for us a the local pub.
The room was great white fluffy towels and crisp white linen with a good tea tray of tea/coffee and biscuits.

Room Tip: I'm sure all the rooms in this bed and breakfast are good

Hi Lynne, Thank you for such a lovely review, hopefully your restful night sleep and relaxed breakfast (even at 6.30 am) helped contribute to a good time for your swim. We're always happy to help with those slightly off the wall requests at Treverbyn!! Please come again and spend a little more time enjoying the Roseland.
King regards,

We stayed at Treverbyn for two nights as part of a touring holiday and it was an excellent discovery. Heather and Tim give you a very warm welcome and are at great pains to ensure that everything is just right for you. It is sparkling clean, bright, has everything you could want and a breakfast that offers all you could need. It has parking and whilst on a corner/junction, the traffic is light and so it is very quiet. Whilst they do not offer evening meals, Tim very quickly arranged an evening meal at the New Inn just a few steps away which was good and nicely presented.

So..a very good place to stay and with fine hosts who try so very hard to help, advise, recommend and encourage places to visit. Remember you are near to some superb beaches with Carne and Pendower a short distance away...although best not to go there in Cadillac as the lanes are a tad narrow! Getting to Treverbyn though is easy with no bad roads or tiny lanes to worry.

In summary..excellent and all you could wish for so if choosing to explore the Roseland Peninsular, stay here!

My partner and I stayed here for two nights for a little break. Upon arrival we had a lovely welcome from Tim and Heather, who for our whole stay were extremely helpful and attentive. There knowledge of the local area was a great help to us, including the recommendation of the local pub which is a stones throw from the House (perfect for a few drinks!)

Our room was ideal and spotless and the breakfast ticked all the boxes for both our appetites. I will definably be recommending this place to all my friends and family and I know we will be back in the future. Thanks again.
