“dont book anywhere else”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 3, 2010

My husband, sons and myself stayed at Cambridge House for our sons passing out parade at HMS Raleigh. I cannot fault a single thing about Cambridge House.Nothing was too much trouble for Milton. You only had to ask and it was provided, extra pillows,a different breakfast if you did not want the full English cooked before you.No restrictions on locking the doors at certain times as you were given front door key to come and go at your leisure.Would strongly recommend anyone wishing to book somewhere in Torpoint to not miss this jewel, you will not be disappointed.A real warm family atmosphere with great hosts. No need to take towels as we did as fresh clean towels are provided. The house is immaculately clean and fresh with a friendly atmosphere.

My husband, daughter and I stayed here for one night over August Bank Holiday weekend. The rooms were spotless, the breakfast was fantastic and nothing was too much trouble for the owners. I have NOTHING BAD TO SAY ABOUT THIS PLACE. I would recommend this place to anyone!

I stayed at Cambridge House with my teenage son for three nights in a twin room. The room was spotlessly clean, this was reflected throughout the guest lounge & dining area. The television in the room was complete with i pod docking station which was a bonus for my son! Tea & coffee making facilities are provided in the room.
Milton and Sarah the owners could not have been more helpful, not only ensuring we had a comfortable stay but with regard to the whereabouts of the best beaches (amazing!) and carparks when shopping in Plymouth.
Milton cooks a really wonderful breakfast! So nice to see your choice of food being freshly cooked in front of you.

We stayed at Cambridge House for 8 days and it was a great experiance. We were welcomed by friendly and knowledgeable hosts, and felt genuinly cared for. We had a double room with ensuit at the top of the house, with great views to the water from one side and stunning hills from the other. The room felt like a look out, and was decorated in white with some splashes of pink and orange colour. The bathroom was large and comfortable. It was very quite at night, apart from the winds coming in from the hills.

Breakfast was great every morning, with cereal, toast and a full english, pots of tea and coffee. There is a lounge room to eat take away meals in, although we ended up eating ours down at the water's edge. We liked the 'Kings Arms', a pub just a few streets away.

Parking was always available out the front, and there is a park next door if you have kids (or are young at heart!) with lots of play equipment.

Satyed for the Bank Holidayweekend. The room was lovely and bright with views over River Tamar, saw lots os ships coming and going. Milton and Sarah (owners ), were very helpful and friendly. Milton cooked super breakfasts to order, any way we wanted, the coffee was fantastic.
We visited rame peninsular , with great beaches and Plymouth is a good and happening city. (much cheaper to stay in Torpoint than in Plymouth!).
Went to Dartmoor the 2nd day, wow wonderful and rural, yet it can be very dangerous, so Milton said, if you dont know what you are doing.
Would come back and stay with Milton and Sarah thay are both brill.

Stayed in Torpoint over the weekend of 14th February. Our room was on the 2nd floor which offered great views from bedroom and bathroom, over the sea (Navel dockyard) and countryside. The room was very well appointed with lots of great touches, (hairdryer, herbal teas, cotton buds, nice toiletries ). TV has DVD and IPOD wow!

Owner Milton is very friendly and cooks breakfast to order in a farmhouse style kitchen/diner. You can see Milton cooking which I thought was great
All in all a great stay and we will surley return
