“Beautiful as always, and fairly wheelchair friendly”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 29, 2012

Been here before and am always blown away by the beauty, and the wind! Wanted to show my mum and my daughter, they were equally impressed. Mum is in a wheelchair so we could not get down to the beach, but the view from the lookout is awesome. Just be aware it is a very long push back up even from the viewpoint.
We then spent some time wandering along towards The Lizard, if you go steady you can get a chair quite a way on the grass. Kynance is one of those magic places. The National Trust guy there is a delight, so friendly and funny, this all adds to the experience. Even if you are not members and have to pay the parking it is still well worth it.

“Great peninsular with great views”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 28, 2012

Rather than drive out to the peninsula, we parked in town and took the scenic walk. The views were great, a photographer's paradise. Had a double cream ice cream as recommended by friends and it was simply delicious. Also many souvenirs made out of the local serpentine rock to choose from

“Magnificent”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 25, 2012

Unfortunately we got our timings wrong and visited Kynance Cove when the tide was in but it is still a magnificent spot in which to enjoy the power of nature as the sea was battering into the rocks. There is a bit of a walk from the car park to Kynance Cove, which is mainly uphill on the way back, but it is worth the jounrney. If the tide has gone out, a shortcut across the beach becomes available. There is also a cafe serving lunches etc. The Lizard doesnt quite have the instant, spectacular appeal of Kynance but is still worth a visit simply for its geographical importance. My advice would be to check the tide timetables for Kynance before you go!
