“Very welcoming”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 15, 2013

My partner and i have just spent two nights here and could not have been made more welcome. The room was lovely and the food and drink were first class. A lovely pub in a lovely village.Probably best not to have an early night as it is quite lively until late.

My husband and I stayed here for one night and wish we could've stayed longer. We felt completely at home from the moment we walked in. The atmosphere was fantastic and the owners couldn't have been more accommodating. Rooms were lovely and clean with gorgeous en suits. Will definitely be staying here again and can't wait!

I have recently returned from spending a week in the beautifully picturesque village of St Keverne. The Three Tuns is a lively, welcoming village pub which serves delicious, (if not rather large portions) of home cooked food & the chips are to die for! The landlord and landlady were extremely hospitable, helpful and downright a pleasure to be in their company!

After reading the reviews I can only laugh at the one person leaving 1 Star.

After traveling down 8 hours, the first point of call was pretty much the three tuns. I was first struck by how friendly everyone was. It seemed most people knew each other so regular enjoyable conversations were abundant. Even new guests just arriving were able to join in the fun.

The first Doombar went down so quickly I couldn't even comment on it, however, the numerous pints that followed throughout the long weekend tasted as though the landlord (Chris) knew how to keep his beer... clean, tasty and left you wanting more.

The new menu looked great and the food that followed was extremely tasty... and again left you wanting more (even though i couldn't fit in a dessert). looking around, it looked like everyone else thought the same about their own food with how little was left on their plates.

Speaking to Chris and Dawn was very enjoyable as they both knew a lot about the area and made a point of making time to speak to you. They even offered to give us free unused tickets to various locations that they hadn't had chance to use. Even one of the customers offered a free unused ticket to another activity.

The weekend brought live music to the three tuns and along with the laughs and jokes going round the place, I felt pleasantly at ease... I was only sorry not to have stayed there a little longer.

Thanks Chris/Dawn and staff.

Just spent a week staying in the village, for the 4th year running. This is the 3rd management team we have seen in that time and they are really friendly and helpful.
The menu reads well but we only had 1 meal, which was perfectly acceptable.
The pub is a bit dingy and grimy but it was cleaner than this time last year.
I hope they do well as they are really nice people and are very welcoming.

We stayed at nearby Rosenithon for a fortnight and found Chris and Dawn of The Three Tuns to be the perfect hosts. The locals were very friendly and helpful in answering our many queries regarding the Lizard Peninsula. The local beer was excellent and this is the perfect place to get "Spingoed"!!!Hopefully it won't be too long before we make our way back down to this beautiful part of the country again....Stuart and Twiz from Wales
