I am from St Austell and now live away, I have stayed here a couple of times when staying for short breaks, and can't complain about the Travel Lodge at all and I am proud such a well maintained and clean Lodge is in my hometown. I'd not have any problems recommending it to family and friends when visiting. Friendly staff, public areas and rooms are beautifully cleaned. Air Conditioning units in the rooms are a welcome relief however they are loud and some MAY find they interfere with sleeping. Beds are firm and LARGE and the décor is modern and welcoming. The shower in my room was amazing and powerful and of course if you come from a hard water area (as I do now) remember its soft water.... only use half the gel, shampoo or conditioner you'd normally use..... else you'll find yourself floating on a bed of foam in Meva harbour ;)

We arrived on Sunday and stayed for five nights. The hotel is centrally located and most attractions can be reached within 30 minutes (by car).

We had a very pleasant stay and would definitely recommend it to others.

The staff were lovely, the room was immaculate, the breakfast was good, apart from the toaster, unless you like warm bread! Lol. BUT, being on the ground floor, at the front of the hotel, all the smokers congregated outside the windows. This meant that we couldn't open the window, due to the smell and the noise.

Room Tip: Not room 4 and 5.

Good location for walking into town, which is 5-10 mins up the hill. If possible ask for a room at the rear of the building - although this overlooks the road it will be quieter than a front facing room which overlooks the car park, McDonald's and KFC.
Friendly staff and Costa in the same building.

Our room at St Austell Travelodge was clean and very comfortable to stay in. The beds are as stated in the advert, very comfortable indeed. The staff could not do enough for you and were very welcoming. This is one of the better one's to stay in and we would stay here again.

The hotel itself was very clean and spacious. The staff were all very friendly. The food was very good for a hotel and the breakfast bar made it very easy to get food before a day out. The only two left downs were the amount of plugs you get in a room, you have to unplug the TV to be able to charge your phone. The Wifi in the hotel was also extremely slow, you couldn't watch a film as it would be forever loading. Apart from these two let downs, the hotel was good.
