“Another perfect, faultless stay!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 16, 2014

Have not long returned from a fantastic stay at "The lookout" to celebrate my birthday, we stayed in our favourite room again the garden suite as it is really spacious with the comfiest bed ever!!! Arise to a lovely cooked breakfast by Steve which sets you up for a days sightseeing! The little touches are what makes this guest house so special as well as Jackie and Steve's top class hosting. Thanks again to both of you and see you soon! :-)

It was fantastic having you back with us for your birthday. We were honoured you chose the Lookout as the place to base your celebrations whilst here in fantastic Cornwall. As always it was a pleasure having you with us.
Many thanks for your translation skills. We are sure you helped the other guests feel ‘ at home ‘ :o)

Jackie and I look forward to seeing you again.

The Lookout is the best B & B we've stayed in. Steve and Jackie are the perfect hosts and it felt more like staying with friends. On arrival we were given a welcome pot of tea and homemade cakes, just what was needed after our long drive from home. The bedrooms, lounge and breakfast room are beautifully appointed with wonderful views over the bay. We were given tips on where to eat in the evening and then Steve took the trouble to actually take us to where we had chosen. At the end of a busy day sightseeing it was lovely to come back and snuggle up in our cosy dressing towelling gowns prior to getting into our comfy bed.
The choice for breakfast was almost anything you could think of! We decided to have the full 'Cornish' which set us up for the rest of the day. We'll definitely be staying here again if we visit this part of the country.

Many thanks for taking the time to post such a great review. It was a pleasure having you stay here at the Lookout. Jackie and I are so glad you found the Sea room comfortable. Yes the views over the bay are quite stunning. We are really happy you enjoyed the restaurant recommendations. It is so good that we have most food tastes covered here.

We hope your long journey back home went well and that you have taken happy memories of beautiful Cornwall with you.

Once again many thanks for your review and look forward to seeing you again.

We have just got back from a wonderful week in Cornwall and our trip was made so much better by our hosts at The Lookout. Jackie and Steve were wonderful, so helpful with tips to get around and where to eat and just really lovely people who made us feel so welcome.
We stayed in the garden suite which was beautiful and had everything we needed from a walk in wardrobe to a mini fridge.
Breakfast was excellent, we could have anything from a simple continental to a full 'Cornish' breakfast, also the views over St Austell's bay from the breakfast room were beautiful.
With it being easy access to The Eden Project this is definitely a must stay B&B if you are visiting the area.

We hope to visit again in the future

Room Tip: All 3 rooms are all beautifully unique.

I keep saying it but Jackie and I have had fantastic guests and most certainly continued our good fortune with your good selves. It was a pleasure having you stay with us. Glad that we could give you some ideas on things to do. We are pleased you enjoyed the fantastic restaurant that is Brett@Austell’s and that the Mussels at The Rashleigh were so good (Gluten Free options available there). Also good that you enjoyed the St Austell brewery tour and that you found their produce to your liking :o)

We hope that work wise the new productions go well and where the IT is concerned maybe forget the mobile next time....... (oh that you could) :o)

Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a very positive review…they keep us focussed on doing the best we can.

Hope to see you soon.

The Lookout Guesthouse is special not just for its immaculate comfortable rooms, fabulous views across St. Austell Bay and close proximity to the Eden Project. The owners, Steve and Jackie, made the trip more memorable with their welcoming atitude. They have set a benchmark for all our future trips. Thank you.

We spent one night at The Lookout Guesthouse, whilst I was working in the local area. Jackie and Steve have a fabulous home and B&B, and made us feel very welcome. Everything was immaculate and of high quality....the only things that would have improved our experience were more time there and more sunshine!

It was a pleasure having you both with us here at ‘The Lookout’. Jackie and I really do appreciate your positive comments. Sorry we could not muster up more sun for you this time around but we most certainly can offer you a longer stay in the future. It would be great to see you again. Hope the biz side of the trip went well and that ‘Ship Wreck Center’ at Charlestown was of interest with its fascinating history of the wrecks around Cornwall. The sections and collections of memorabilia on The Titanic and Lusitania are very interesting.

Thank you again for taking the time to post such a positive review. We look forward to seeing you in the future.

Best regards

Our first visit and hopefully not our last. If I could give an extra star I would. Great hosts, really nice contemporary feel & well situated. Rooms were spotlessly clean, amenities were excellent and the full cornish breakfast is all you need to keep you going for the day.

This was a great start to our short cornish break (thankfully the weather held out)

Steve & Jackie, keep up the good work and continued success !

Mark & Mariya
