“fiirst timer at "spoons" in st austell.....”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 17, 2014

Went today for breakfast as have only ever been in for a quick coffee when working. I was impressed by the food choice and quality. The pub was clean and tidy and the staff were welcoming. The food arrived very quickly and the kitchen was clearly busy which i always see as a good sign and i certainly wasn't disappointed. Will definitely be back. Only down side to todays visit was two out of three mens cubicles were "out of use" and when you have a four year od going "i need a poo..." this really isn't much use. And one more gripe (and i only saw this when i went to put my review on your site ) was the picture of the bar has a huge St George flag above the bar- it looks like BNP meeing not a family friendly pub (which of course you are).

“Great food and surroundings”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 12, 2014

We stumbled upon this wetherspoons pub when visiting St Austell for the first time. The food was lovely and served promptly within ten minutes of ordering. The staff were polite and friendly and the pub itself was clean and modern

“For the price you really can't complain”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 12, 2014

I often stop here for a quick bite to eat with my partner before we go to the cinema and my parents go every Tuesday for steak night. If you are in a hurry and, or a bit tight on funds its the perfect place. Food is never below standard and always comes out hot and fills you up wonderfully, for an establishment that is often used by locals as a 'boozer' after 9pm Mondays, Fridays and Saturdays it is very clean and organised. It actually works out cheaper for me to buy two main meals and drink each than buy a cola and popcorn in the cinema! would always reccomend
