“Dissapointing”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed September 10, 2012

I had high hopes for this place after reading the plentiful glowing reviews, however the experience didn't live up to those hopes.
I was recommended a 'medium' veggie dish and in all honesty a Korma would have had more spice. Not only that but some of the vegetables in it were blatently from a bag of mixed frozen veg.
If you want an average curry, for a small price, this is your place. If you're more for flavoursome authentic indian dishes, go elsewhere.

“Lived up to all the tripadvisor reviews!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 9, 2012

On the recommendations of previous tripadvisor reviewers we booked a table at the Taj on Friday evening. The restaurant is really pleasantly decorated, with soft lighting and music, but with a modern feel. The place was really busy and we did wait a while to be served, but the waiter was excellent. The restaurant doesn't have a licence, so you can bring your own alcohol. I would suggest doing so as the soft drinks on offer were not the cheapest. The food was lovely though - from our halibari kebabs and popadums with pickles to various curries. The takeaway service was very busy too!
I'll add another resounding recommendation to the growing list!
