“An Independent Cinema with all the best aspects of a multiplex”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 1, 2013

This cinema was a really welcome addition to St Austell. The town had been without a cinema for several years and really any old fleapit would have done very well due to a total lack of competition!
WTW Cinemas already had the Regal in Wadebridge and the Plaza in Truro. Both of these cinemas were old venues that by all accounts were rejuvenated by WTW's ownership.
White River is a new cinema that seems to have been designed by a film lover to such a high standard, that if all the branding and advertising was wiped out, you would think was run by a Cineworld or Vue type company. Every visit to this cinema is made into a special occasion by the decor and design.
Ticket prices are very reasonable; cheap even (if you are used to the extortionate prices charged 'upcountry' (out of Cornwall)). The staff are not your usual multiplex zombies and the bar is really quite trendy and a nice place to spend some time in the evening.
If you're on holiday and the weather's not great, any film watched here is a joy!

“A lovely cinema”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 5, 2013

Travelled from West Cornwall fort 3 year olds first cinema visit (birthday) & thought the cinema was lovely & modern, convenient to access & reasonable @£23 for a family of four. Plenty of children's booster seats & easily accessible clean toilets. Have planned our return visit already.

“Book in advance on rainy days!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 4, 2013 via mobile

Cinema fine but be warned... on wet holiday days you can expect screenings to be fully booked. Would recommend advance booking. Booking on Internet cost £1 but worth it to avoid children's tears of disappointment!

“Fantastic”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 30, 2013 via mobile

Great choice for a rainy day! Lovely small cinema with fantastic prices compared to the big chain companies. We went on a Tuesday and the offer was 2 adults for £10 and snacks weren't expensive either. Do check movie times before visit as there are not that many showings during the day.

“A Brilliant little cinema”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 27, 2013

Never seen a film here before but it was worth the trip from liskeard - quiet and clean with friendly helpful staff and they dont rip you off like the plymouth cinemas.

Will be going again !
