“Great Food and Service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 31, 2014

Visited Charlestown to visit the museum and found this charming venue at the other side of the harbour. The service was attentive and quick, the surroundings clean, the food was excellent and the staff very friendly. All in all we enjoyed the experience and will be back when in the area again

“Holiday Starter”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 30, 2014

Visited tonight, Sunday, a warm welcome and attentive service. Plenty to choose from the menu and our starters of seafood chowder and seared scallops were not disappointing. For mains we chose mediterranean vegetable rissotto and trio of fish pasta, again very good. Only disappointment was desserts, they had run out of creme brulee -so asked for an Irish whiskey coffee liqueur but had to settle for a scotch whiskey instead, but these things didn't spoil the meal. My wife chose from the patisserie selection and had carrot cake with cornish ice cream. All in all a very pleasurable evening.

“Lovely Lunch”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 26, 2014 via mobile

Went here yesterday -Tuesday. Fish Stew - fabulous (a finger bowl and a discarded shell bowl would have been helpful), Sea Bass & Scallops also excellent. Very good service, pleasant atmosphere and relaxing music. Desserts where lush.

“outstanding supper”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed March 14, 2014

A cold March evening but a warm welcome at Wreckers. This was our first visit to Charlestown and we investigated the other eateries before settling on Wreckers. We were not disappointed. They had a special offer of two main courses for £25 but we chose items from both the specials and main menu. The fish , in both cases, was cooked to prerfection and it was the sort of food we really enjoy - good local ingredients cooked simply. The puds were delicious and the price of a good bottle of S. African wine was well below the £20 mark. Prices in general were realistic without giving a feeling of ripping off the customers. Portions were generous and the restaurant was busy on a cold Thursday in March - Well done! When we come back, we wouldn't dream of eating anywhere else.
