“The tall ships, heritage center and harbor”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 3, 2013

This is something the entire family will enjoy seeing the tall ships and learning some history of the area in the museum. Have an ice cream cone after visiting the museum or fish and chips or any type of lunch at Wreckers.

“Brilliant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 3, 2013

I have visited the Charlestown Shipwreck and Heritage Museum several times and always find something interesting to see.
Child friendly, when we last went there was a quiz running for children, encouraging them to look at the exhibits, hunting for little soldiers (I think). Truthfully though, my children loved it and would have looked at the exhibits anyway, there is loads to see and much of it can be touched, so a great museum experience.
Charlestown itself is lovely, parking is easy, plenty of little cafes, a pretty harbour and often there are tall ships next to the museum that that you can walk around.
Definitely recommend a visit.
