Nikki is a fantastic host and her cream tea legendary (even if you go Devon style). The breakfast is ample and there is a great choice. Nikki is very knowledgeable and insightful about local areas to visit. My Partner and I had a great couple of days and would definitely be back. Cheers.

Stayed for a week at The Arches as this was an ideal base for our trip to Cornwall. Nikki is a brilliant hostess and the cream teas absolutely delicious. Nikki is very helpful and has a great sense of humour, not forgetting Kendra her loyal pooch. The Arches is perfectly located with a short walk into town, and all major routes and tourist attractions. We will be sure to book again when next in Cornwall.

Thanks Nikki for a lovely stay.

Jan & Keith

Room Tip: We stayed in the blue room which is at the rear of the property, which is quieter.

Stayed for 3 nights in the spacious Green room (with slightly creaky four poster bed). Nikki's a fine host, and the breakfasts (with choice of fruit, cereals, toast and full English) freshly made to order were just what we needed to set us up for the day.

The Green room may not be suitable for light sleepers as it is on a B road with cars speeding by in the morning, but other rooms out the back are available.

The Arches is in a good location for reaching the Eden project and Lost gardens of Heligan - both are a short drive, or about 25 mins by bus from the town centre, which is a 10 min walk away.

Room Tip: Green Room is on a B road so a little noisy in the mornings. But it is spacious with lots of stor...

Nikki, thanks for two wonderful nights at the Arches. The room is spacious, clean and comfortable. Full English breakfast was great too!! The Arches is in an excellent location, 10 mins walk to town centre with excellent Indian Restaurant. Space for car parking is a plus. The world famous Eden Project is just four miles away.

This was our 4th stay at The Arches with a wonderful, charismatic host Nicki and her lovely dog Kenda. We now class Nicki as a good friend with a wicked sense of humour who will do her upmost to help and advise you on Cornwall and the local area. Nothing is too much trouble for her, and that shows with the scrumptious cream tea that is provided on your arrival.
We stayed in the Green Room which has a very comfortable 4 poster bed, spacious shower en-suite and lovely finishing touches such as the lovely orchid flowers.
The breakfasts are amazing and the choices endless.
Fruit juice, tea (choices of), coffee, yoghurt with fresh fruit, kippers, traditional full English which can be huge (pig plate), fresh bread daily for toast. You are full till the evening!
If you correctly read The Arches web site you will see this is a dog friendly B&B and Nicki's dog Kenda will be in attendance. She is a very dosile German Shepherd who does not have a vicious bone in her body.

NB: Cornwall's roads were built with horse and cart in mind and not modern day vehicles.
Therefore lots of B&B's do not have their own parking facilities.
Nicki has a car park for 3 cars, Yes it is in her garden up a steep narrow slope, but once you get used to it you should be very grateful there is a car park.

This B&B is run by Nikki who is a larger than life character who provides a very tasty Cream Tea on arrival. The Blue Room is clean, comfortable with en-suite. A variety of breakfast options from Full English, Kippers, Toast, Cereals, Tea, Coffee, and Juice or all of them if you have the appetite. A good base to visit the rest of Cornwall from. Good value for money.
Thanks Nikki for a excellent stay.

Anyone who wants a B&B (not a hotel) then this is the place, the breakfast are great, so much to choose from.
Nikki is a fab hostess nothing is to much trouble for her, from giving in a insight in to Cornwall to telling you the best places to eat. This B&B s also dog friendly with Nikki's dog Kendra always on hand to give you a hello.
