“Great Break”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 24, 2011

We had a very enjoyable stay. We were warmly welcomed by Shane who made us tea and coffee. Our bedroom was very well furnished and very clean. Every little detail had been thought about down to the small pot of sweets and cafetiere coffee. Breakfast was very good and we would have no trouble recommending a stay there. Thank you for a great break.

The service in this guest house was excellent. The owners were friendly and welcoming and the room comfortable. We were only staying for 2 days and were sorry to leave. Check out the breakfasts!

My husband and I with our 7 month old baby girl had a lovely 4 nights here. We felt it was good value for money, really well run, welcoming, homely, nicely decorated, extremely clean, decent breakfast. What else do you need really.?! Shane and Terry really know what they are doing and were friendly and helpful all the way. They left us alone mostly, which is just what we like, minimal fuss except when needed. They run the B&B like clockwork so I know they'll be consistent if we go again, breakfast, then cleaning of the rooms(once you've popped out to sight-see) and usually available if you require them any time of day.

We stayed at The Beech Tree for two nights while exploring my roots in Cornwall. Shane and Terry are great, friendly hosts and provide you with a wonderful breakfast (and good coffee!) They are very knowledgeable and gave us great tips for sightseeing on the northern Cornwall coast. Convenient location on a quiet street. We enjoyed eating in nearby Charlestown and visting the surrounding towns.

Fantastic gay friendly b&b, close to Eden Project and many over local attractions! 4 comfortable rooms, great owners! Dog friendly, my dogs got treats in their bowls each day! We wouldn't have come back to St Austell but we are so comfortable in this b&b! No I'm not bring paid to say this lol.... Try them you'll not be sorry!

Charming little 4-bedroom b&b conveniently located for trips to the Eden Project (don't bother!) and various fishing villages. Pleasant and very helpful hosts and a mega cooked breakfast included in the price. My son and daughter-in-law had a double room and I had a twin. The beds were comfortable although the tv/dvd combo in my son's room couldn't be made to work.
