what a gem.we camp most weekends from easter to october in our vwcampervans.and we stay at lots of great places, and a few not so great.but this is a must go place.jane and her staff run a lovely clean campsite, which is very relaxed and has the most amazing veiws down to st.ives with amazing sunsets.its got sheltered paddocks best suited to tents as the wind can roar through.they have a fish and chip guy one evening or a curry guy and butcher pop in aswell.the local beaches and coves are fantastic for familys and surfing.the coastal walks are so rewarding and stunning.st agnes village has a great local atmosphere with lovely people.we will be back.a huge well done to all at beacon farm for a lovely time THANK YOU.

Have just returned from a week's camping at this lovely site. The pitch was large and spacious and we had a wonderful view of the cliffs and sea. On a clear day you can see st.ives. It is lovely that the campsite is not overcrowded so that children are free to play in the centre and you also get the maximum view. The site is also kept spotlessly clean at all times including the showers and toilets. Showers are lovely and warm and free too. There is also a play area for children which my daughter really enjoyed. The staff are always very friendly and helpful at all times and we all really enjoyed our stay.

Have just camped at Beacon Cottage Farm for the 15th year. Met up with regular yearly neighbours once again. One of our camping neighbours has been using this site for 28years and another one has been coming here for over 40years. Surely we can't all be wrong. Lovely site in a perfect location. What more could you ask for. Already booked for next year. Don't take my word for it.Try it yourself.

Room Tip: This is camping. Just relax and enjoy.

We have just returned, stayed in Devon for weekend then down to this site on the Monday for 4 nights, from the website you would think this site sits on the cliff looking out over the sea, this is not correct, we were infact stuck right behind a giant hedge with no view of anything, the site was not quiet but over run with kids( peak weeks maybe this is the norm), we were woken up at 6.45am by kids out playing, the sea is infact across a road then a long walk (not a few hundred yards) then you have to climb down a cliff, we left 3 days early back to Devon, very disappointed

My husband and I recently stayed at this site. It is a fantastic site - clean loos, showers and washing up room. Best thing about it...you just cross a very quiet road and you are looking at the most wonderful coastal view you can imagine. I went for an amazing run amongst fields of purple heather. My husband enjoyed a brilliant bike ride along the coast. We walked to Chapel Porth beach each morning - this is an amazing beach and only a ten minute walk from the site.
Stay here - if you can get a space! We are already planning to go back.

We have just got back from 10 days at the Beacon Cottage Farm campsite (27th July to 6th August) - we returned after last year. We specifically requested the pitch and got what we asked for

It would appear that from some of the recent reviews some people should leave their tents, and get a hotel on the sea front.

The campsite is well maintained, the showers and toilets are spotless and regularly cleaned, and Jane is more than helpful and friendly.

We had the centre pitch at the bottom of goose field - I am 5'9" tall and could clearly see the sea. People complaining about the '6ft' wall really want a reality check. This is a windy site - there are good views out to sea because of the lack of tall trees / restrictive walls. without the walls around the fields, the wind would blow in without anything to stop it.

We had one breezy night this year, but as long as you are prepared (long main pegs and pitch your tent / awning properly) then you should have no problems. There appeared to be damage to a number of windbreaks and 1 gazebo and that was it.

Chapel Porth beach (less than a mile away) is idyllic and is lifeguarded. St Agnes village is very friendly and unspoiled, with some very nice watering holes, and good shops.

All in all, one of the best campsites that I have visited (in over 40 years of camping)

Stayed July 13 at start of school hols. Site full. Agree with prev comment about lack of sea views in certain areas of Goose Field but shelter also given to tents by high walls so choice/ balance is yours. Our real issue was with standard and numbers of loos/ showers as site so busy, as one of prev reviewers had suggested. Despite being cleaned regularly, they smelt all the time due to sheer numbers using them and the fact that only 4 loos for women, 3 for men on whole site. Showers also too small, flimsy curtains and everything got wet. Made worse for us by fact had travelled from another, small farm campsite also v. near beach where facilities excellent although site cheaper. Our young sons became very reluctant and worried to use gents at all (being too old for ladies, not old enough to be fully confident) even more than boys on hols not wanting to wash! Despite lovely views, feel that standards are too low for essentials like number and standards of showers and loos, especially as this site is expensive. In our 10 years of family camping, have experienced cheaper, better value sites, even with sea views. Shame as owners lovely but have to refurbish if really to deliver.
