“Creative surroundings, consistently good food, great coffee”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 18, 2013

I come to The Melting Pot a few times a week, and am always impressed with their food... at lunchtime they serve a range of home-made mains accompanied by inventive salads and the Friday special is always an authentically-spiced curry (veg or chicken/lamb, with nan and daal). The dangerously good cakes, eclectic music collection and quirky interior design makes the atmosphere pretty special, too. Recommended, and worth a trip to Redruth (especially during the Open Studios in June and December).

“Freaky-but if you like that sort of thing it's great!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed May 30, 2013

This is a very strange place, Very arty farty. Full of strange decorations hanging from the walls and ceilings. Very dark and quite 'busy' on the eye.
The choice of food is limited and drinks are not cheap for the sort of place it appears to be.
Not my cup of tea but seems popular with some people..

“Good for decor, a little boring for food”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 24, 2013

It seems that the Melting Pot's reputation is on the wane. It's decor is outstanding and unique. It's food is palatable but boring. Prices are on the high side for the quality and this is starting to show with the diminishing clientele. I am one of the dwindling number who frequent the place on a regular basis. If you are a visitor to the area it is certainly worth popping in.

“Quirky and interesting”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 15, 2013

Good coffee and cake. Savouries looked generous and tasty. Interior is somewhere you couldn't be bored - ranges from amusing to slightly scary, and defies description. Definitely worth a visit for the decoration, if nothing else!

“freaky”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 28, 2013

The food is outstanding, but do not go there with someone interesting that you want to talk to as there is too much amazing unusual décor to look around at to be bothered by someone talking to you. A great place to take someone boring, even they will appear more interesting here.
Fridays they do a great curry and you can get acupuncture at the bare foot clinic behind the café or a Swedish massage.
Weds eve they do a jamming eve, which is great fun.
All in all a fab place to visit, but don’t tell too many people lets keep it quaint and quiet.
