“Beautiful Location...”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 30, 2010

We enjoyed our time spent here. Everyone was really very nice and very accomodating. The room was a bit of a let down, however it was cleaned everyday and we had ample of fresh towels, the view from it was amazing! I loved listening to the sea. We ate a couple of times in the bar, once was great the other time not so good, but that was just our wrong choice. The breakfast was good, and the staff very helpful, a young staff, but very willing to oblige. Perranporth beach is one not to be missed!

We stayed at the Seiners 4 years ago and it was a fantastic place to be - everything was clean and the staff/owners couldn't do enough for you! Now 4 years down the line it has been taken over and talk about going downhill fast. The rooms have had a lick of paint but the bathrooms have not been updated in years, nothing like the fantastic renovation it was said to have had.
The food was very hit and miss.
The service from the Management was not existent.
The breakfast was ok but poorly organised, no butter, no milk, minimal choice!
Housekeeping standard was very poor!
Parts of the room were dirty and damaged - very basic facilities - the bathroom was so bad the flooring was buckled and stained!
If you stay there expect lots of late night noise - not the place for anyone over 30 years of age and definately not for young families!

We travelled to Perranporth to go to concerts at the Watering Hole, just across the beach.from Seiners, the view could not be better, right on the edge of the bay - the room we stayed in was very clean, the staff were very friendly and attentive, check in was the easiest I have experienced. . We had a bar meal one night which was fine, it is not a 5 Star hotel but is excellent value for the price. The view from the Rocks restaurant is to die for, unfortunately, we couldn't manage dinner due to our scehdule but we did enjoy the view over breakfast. I would definitely recommend it as long as you don't expect a luxury hotel.

One of my best friends got married at Seiners so myself & a group of friends decided to book a few days at the hotel to enjoy the local area.
The hotels main attraction is it's fantastic location-beach side with lovely views of the bay. Unfortunately the rest of the hotel seriously let's it down. The rooms are very dated-bed linen is terrible & the bathrooms are
in a serious need of improvement. Our bath had mould all over it & wood had swelled from being wet. Whilst some reviews have praised the food, we found the service very poor. A number of the items on the breakfast menu were not avaliable on several of the mornings we stayed. We decides to have dinner at the bar one night & ordered steaks. The sauce they were advertised with was unavaliable
& they did not come with mushrooms as advertised. The car parking is awful-very limited. Our friends could not find a space so were forced to pay for parking nearby-which the hotel then refused to reimburse.
The Walls of our bedroom were also very thin-we could hear
everything from next door! Eek.
In short, don't go booking thinking you will be staying in a nice hotel. I would say it is 2* at best. The price
is awful-near on £250 for 4 nights. Rip off. I feel very angry that we have wasted money on this poor hotel.

This hotel has an absolutely fantastic location. You walk out of the hotel and onto the beach.  Rooms have recently been spruced up and the bathrooms are fine. The rooms were very clean, no problems checking in or out, in fact a very efficient manager.
Never going to be 5 star but a great hotel.  The rooms, on the east facing, beachfront side are subject to early morning light, which makes it difficult to sleep in, but nice for breakfast on the balcony. You'll need to take your sundowners at the beach pub which is a short walk away.
The breakfast included has a nice selection and the dining room is nicely decorated. The "rocks restauarant" is also nice.
Two suggestions I'd make are, that shutters or shutout blinds were fitted to the beach view windows, and there was a choice of a continental breaky. Hotels in scandinavia also give the option of guests making their own lunch (sandwiches) from the breakfast buffett, which you pay a little extra for but saves you the hastle of going elsewhere for lunch.
Altogether, a very enjoyable stay.

Having viewed the website we were looking forward to a really nice quiet weekend in Cornwall. The hotel looked contemporary, clean and fantastically located along with the fine dining restaurant, I was very exciting.

I couldn't have been more disappointed. The reception was the bar, a gloomy slightly musty smelling bar. The bedroom was very dated, the carpet was filthy, I would hate to think what caused the stains!!
The bed was the most uncomfortable bed I have ever slept in, resulting in a very little sleep. On the second night there was live music in the bar, which was not mentioned to us at any time during our booking or our check-in. It was so loud that the floor was actually vibrating, and didn't finish until 1am, when all the people then left very noisily.
Having complained the receptionist was surprised that we would find this unreasonable!
Fine dining restaurant- it was a nice enough restaurant with a cracking view, but the food was mediocre and was definitely NOT fine dining.

The view was amazing, I would definitely recommend visiting Perranporth to walk along the beach but make sure you stay somewhere else, if you like cleanliness, good food and sleep!

you get what it says on the tin, check out gurnards head, other boutique hotels, and their reviews.ok,the rooms are basic, but, with the sound of the sea coursing under the windows, the beach, the friendly staff,my 6 year old thinks its wonderful, pay per room,no extras, and as in for the view of st michaels mount, marazion, further south,,they are not asking you to cough up an extra 25 quid per person..and then add on a tenner for each child..big breakfasts superbly cooked, and i suspect the moaners were childless, what do you want, jazz it up,charge appropriately and consign its character to.. you pay for the view,stupid.. perranporth is quite a lively little town, ands its all about the beach and sea,and cornwall..great value, seiners, and family friendly,we keep going back..
