“Poor value - ripped off.”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed February 17, 2013

My lasting impression of the Project was one of having been 'ripped off'. Nearly £50 for two people is probably twice what it is actually worth. Yes the Tropical biome was very good, albeit the labeling of exhibits was generally poor and ambiguous, but the Mediterranean biome lacked content and just seemed to struggle to present any coherent message. The Core was a waste of time, and dare I say money. I know the Project will say that the entry fee gives a year's access, but as they must well know this is a hollow advantage to the majority of visitors from outside the region. They could easily offer single and multi-visit tickets. I understand that the Project says that it is a charity, but it certainly makes no real attempt to communicate what it actually does. I just feel annoyed that I've been taken in by the hype and left feeling unnecessarily conned, I can't recollect ever feeling like this previously. My advice - consider long and hard if you really want to pay this sort of money for so little real content.

Thanks for leaving a review. We're sorry you didn't enjoy your visit to Eden. Our admission prices are based on other attractions and we continue to check these in order to remain competitive. The admission cost contributes towards the daily running costs and, along with fundraising, supports our charitable work all over the world. We do make an effort to describe this charitable work through our signage on site, but if you would like to find out more, please visit our website: www.edenproject.com/whats-it-all-about We also hope to convey the main messages of our ethos through our on-site signage without labelling every plant – we’re sorry if you think the labelling is inadequate.

“Pure marketing”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed February 17, 2013 via mobile

How to transform an ex-clay mine in a tourist attraction of nothing!
They completely oversell the experience which is not enjoyable and uninteresting. Low-quality tourism.
Def won't go back and suggest everybody who plans a visit to go to Kew Garden instead!

“Fun and something for everyone”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 16, 2013 via mobile

We will definetly go back again. The place is really huge and I'm sure we missed some attractions. Food in the Eden's Bakery was average and bit overpriced. We took a lot pictures and spend there most of the day. Can't w8 to go back in summer.

“Interesting”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 15, 2013

Had a lovely unplanned day to Eden , the price of entrance was rather expensive , but we managed a few hours there. We would go back but that's only due to our cards behind valid for a year. Better for smaller children mines 14.
My husband called it an expensive garden centre!!... The concept however .... Fab

“A bit overpriced for a walk round a garden and some plants in a dome”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed February 15, 2013

Overall it was an OK experience but the whole thing lasts about 3 hours ( Max 4 ) , if you go slowly and walk round all the paths, so £ 22 or so for a ticket seems high when you can go somewhere like Chester Zoo which has equally good indoor attractions and you get all the animals as well as it lasting all day for less money. The Eden attraction itself was clean, easy to park etc. but a little lacking in any excitement ( apart from the Gheko jumping around in the rain forest part ) although some of the signage is well written and amusing. Porbably some of this lack of value was due to going in February and a few areas being fenced off and redone but then the entry price was still high.
