“Wonderful B&B”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 2, 2011

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Caunce Head. It really is a hidden jewel. The room was spacious and nicely decorated. Our mornings talking to Sarah and David at breakfast were lively and the food was delicious. Sarah knows a lot about the area and every one of her recommendations for dinner or for walks was spot on. I look forward to returning to Cornwall and to this particular B&B again.

My friend and I only stayed one night, but how wonderful it was! We had a good meal, which we enjoyed utterly, and slept like roses - or logs... in the excellent beds. Sarah and David Neville made us feel welcome, and gave us all they had. Srumptious breakfast, too!!

Nothing is too much trouble for Sarah and David. They welcomed us as if we were members of the family and made use feel totally "at home". We visited Helson to see the Flora Day and the Furry Dance. Sarah drew us a map showing the best view points and cut-through back streets which helped to make our day perfect. Thank you both for a lovely "Short break".

If you are looking for a quiet B&B which is off the beaten track I would thoroughly recommend Caunce Head as it is tucked away in a lovely rural location. Mullion Island is a short walk away and is very beautiful ( see pics ) .
Sarah and David are fantastic hosts and great to get to know. I felt more like a visiting relative than a paying guest.....

100% recommended !!

I love the Lizard peninsula in Cornwall and have been coming to Mullion for holidays since i was a baby, having camped nearby I was delighted to find Caunce Head B&B. I came for my 30th bday with my other half, my family and a very happy spaniel.

We were made most welcome, and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house is located so close to the coast path it meant going off running and walking with the dog so easy, and I persuaded everyone to walk to the cliff edge (10 mins) to watch the sunset, beautiful spot!

Food was delicious and breakfast was well enjoyed by everyone, and I also remain grateful to Sarah for helping to look after me when I was ill on our last morning!

Can't wait to visit again, highly recommended!

We spent here one night during a long distance walk along the coast of Cornwall. Just a very good stop here. Remarkable was that we were without any problems transported by car for free to and from the nearby village to have our dinner in a local pub. Also the dog got a warm welcome by the dog of Sarah.

We took our elderly parents here for 4 nights having found this idyllic spot last year. This wonderful peaceful place with such a warm welcome is the perfect getaway - yet within easy reach of countless places of interest and things to do. David and Sarah (the owners) have made this character home so comfortable and we shall be returning again and again! The breakfasts are fantastic - setting you up for the day. The South West Coast path is only minutes away so an excellent location for avid walkers too. I can't say enough about this lovely place. The rooms are spacious, cosy and well equipped. The only downside is - you have to leave when your visit is over! Go and see for yourselves!
