“Loverly location for family and those with dogs!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 23, 2013

We spent 3 nights, the view from our room was amazing, large clean and modern, we could have spent all day just staring our the window at the beautiful view or the sea. The food was great and the staff were very helpful.
We had our two dog with us and they were made very welcome.

Room Tip: Worth paying for a sea view

Stayed here for one night travelling on business with a colleague. Staff were friendly and welcoming, facilities were excellent. Clean spacious room, large clean modern shower room.
Gym is well kitted out with modern equipment. Vista restaurant is a superb dining experience, best steak I have ever eaten, cooked to perfection. Wine is over-priced; £53 for two bottles of Malbec!
Unable to check out due to lack of reception staff meant I had to leave my contact details and a photo copy of my credit card - not so great.

Modernised hotel in great taste. We loved the new lighting. The person who did the lighting took a big gamble - and it really works! The staff were kind and friendly and gave youthful enthusiasm to their work. We thoroughly enjoyed all aspects of our stay - swimming pool, walks, fantastic views, wonderful food and remarkable value for money. The child guests were being kept entertained and made little impact on the older generation (us). The hotel has achieved a very high standard for a one size fits all venue. Thoroughly recommended.

This hotel has an excellent location. The outside terrace does need to be updated. The hotel staff were very good. The facilities are very good and the decor of the hotel interesting. I found the food and bar facilities very poorly managed, you had to look for someone to get a drink or food.

Just returned home from our holiday at the Polurrian Bay Hotel and just wanted to write a quick note about our stay. Right from the beginning the staff were friendly and courteous, they immediately made us feel at home. Our room was clean, spacious, nicely furnished and had a partial sea view. Plenty of room for us and our 2 children aged 7 and 1. The view and the position is spectacular, we couldn't get enough of it. Inside there was plenty of seating areas and although the hotel was almost full it never felt busy. The children's facilities are great and the grounds were safe enough for my 7 year old to play outside. The den run by the lovely Rowenna and her team was an instant hit and they were also very welcoming. The food was great and we ate at the hotel every evening. The prices were London prices but as this is what we are used to anyway then it seemed reasonable to us. For a memorable family holiday with lots of chilling then I can definitely recommend this hotel, we even stayed an extra night we were having such a good time. If you are a couple with no children then maybe school holiday times wouldn't suit you but otherwise please don't be put off. A memorable, fun and relaxing holiday for us and an exciting and fun holiday for the children. Wonderful!

Situated at the top of a steep hillside overlooking a perfect Cornish Bay, this attractive originally Victorian but now much improved family hotel has virtually all the facilities that you could wish for to keep the little darlings happy and amused. They are supervised with daily activities in the Den (2 hours free childcare...not be sniffed at), and whatever the weather swimming is an option in the indoor pool, unheated outdoor pool or sea 10 minutes walk down the cliff. If that doesn't appeal, there's tennis, table football, pool, walking & etc. The hotel manages to cater for almost all mainstream activities allowing parents some well earned rest. A helpful component to this is the well stocked and competitively priced bar with plenty of excellent wines, ciders and cocktails. The catering is excellent-breakfasts plentiful and dinners in the formal dining room are cooked to a high standard. The service is at all times friendly and efficient which in the face of lots of little boys and girls running around is impressive. The downsides? The rooms are comfortable rather than sumptuous, and bathrooms smallish but in the overall scheme of things these are minor niggles. We'll be back...

What a fantastic view of Mounts Bay :) sit in the Bay lounge to have a drink or snack looking over blue sea and stunning distant views of Penzance. The food was excellent and the service was with a very friendly smile. Well worth a stop either for a stay or a pit stop whilst out walking or a visit to the Spa and then lunch - OOH what a treat try it.
