5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 9, 2010

We come from Germany and had a long journey. The Wild Air Guesthouse in Mevagissey was our last station during our tour around Cornwall. One say the best is reserved for the end and so it was: we stayed for 4 nights in room 3 on the first floor. As I booked in November Clare told me by phone that in room 3 I would have the best view over Mevagissey. And that was right. A wonderful bedroom, a wonderful view, a wonderful breakfast, a wonderful time! We always will remember with a large sense of delight in our hearts. It's furthermore a great advantage that directly in front of Wild Air Guesthouse there is a parking place. And in the evening when you walk home the lovely view and the harbour lights. Fantastic. And over all there is Clare. When you have a problem and a question, she's there to help you. You feel like home! Best wishes Peter & Mechthild
I'm sure we will come back soon.

We chose Wild Air because of the good reviews. We were not in the least disappointed. This is a top quality B/B from every point of view. It was invaluable to have our own parking space in Mevagissey. We were able to enjoy the village without the stress of hunting out parking spaces in those narrow streets. It is particularly good to be able to walk home after a delicious dinner and wine! The lovely hilltop house was always exceptionally warm and welcoming during the chilly weather we experienced. Our bedroom was delightfully appointed, with a wonderful view from the corner bay window and a sofa strategically placed to enjoy it. The decor, en suite, bed linen and indeed the whole house was impeccable. There seemed to be an infinite variety of local delicacies available for the asking at breakfast. All were beautifully cooked and presented. We wondered at the energy and committment required to achieve all this and more, whilst retaining a relaxed and good humoured ambience. The quality on every level was extraordinary. The award is more than well deserved. Very well done indeed, Clare. Thank you so much.

I have never done a Management response before as I normally contact our guests directly if I ever feel the need for further feedback following a guest review. However, this reviewer has highlighted just about everything we try to achieve for our guests and I am delighted they were so happy with their stay at Wild Air and it seems our efforts have been recognised and worthwhile, so many thanks Helen (and all our reviewers).

Additionally, I would like to take this opportunity to thank all our recent and regular guests for their support and understanding following our recent offer of a 5 star rating from Quality in Tourism. Although we declined this we are happy to now be the first 4 star Gold Award winning B&B in Mevagissey with the addition of a breakfast award. We get a large proportion of our guests through Trip Advisor and hope that these awards and our glowing guest reviews will continue to tempt potential guests.

This was our second visit to Wild Air and definately will not be the last. We have never stayed in such a friendly and welcoming B&B as this.
Nothing is too much for Clare. She makes you feel at home and will always endeavour to make your stay special.
You will never stay in cleaner or more tastefully decorated rooms. No words of mine can do them justice. You just need to visit and you will feel the same.

If you are looking for a B&B where you are given a genuinely warm welcome along with tea and biscuits on your arrival, are shown to a very well decorated bedroom furnished to a high standard, is spotlessly clean with snowy white luxurious bedlinen and towels, quality toiletries and generous hospitality tray, this is the guest house for you! Add to all that delicious breakfasts, on site parking and a comprehensive information folder, what more could you ask for.

Wild Air is in a wonderful position overlooking Mevagissey harbour and we spent time most evenings relaxing, sipping wine and enjoying the spectacular views (wine glasses and binoculars thoughtfully provided.) Thanks, also, for the information on restaurants, etc.

We had a wonderful holiday and Clare deserves her high rating.

Stayed here for the first time in Jan 10, liked it so much we immediately decided to return for our wedding anniversary in March 10. Rooms are clean, fresh and tastefully furnished. The owner Clare was friendly, welcoming and very helpful - couldn't have done more for us. We definitely recommend Wild Air.

We had a fantastic time in a lovely Family run Guest House which was like "Home from Home". The Rooms were decorated to a very high standard and could not have been cleaner with every little need catered for. Great Views, Clean air and very friendly Host. Nothing was too much trouble and wait until you see the Breakfast !!!! WOW.

The best views of our 18 day walk from Penzance to Paignton. Friendly service. Great location for walkers being close to town. Room amenities and comfort were of a high standard.
