My partner and I were in Mevagissey for the food festival in 2012, and stayed in the village on the Sunday night. Walking in the restaurant, we were overwhelmed at the open space. It was huge, but empty. I mean empty. There was three waiters playing games on their mobile phones at the front of the restaurant to welcome us though.
I attach a photograph of the interior!
Tables were still covered in used plates, napkins and tablecloths, and despite it only being between 20:30 and 21:00, they clearly weren't expecting any further custom [so why not lock the door?]
We were invited to take a pick of where we were to sit, which despite the expance of tables, was limited as most had not been cleared/cleaned since the last sitting!
The service was OK, the food was OK, certainly nothing to complain about, but also nothing to rave about. The time it took to be delivered to the table was lengthy, depite being the only customers when we ordered.
While we were eating, some football match on the tele' had finnished, and about a dozen or so other customers came in, adding to the comedy value of the waiters and clearing the table process so that people could be seated!
The toilets are outside. Yes, outside at the back of the restaurant...if it's raining, you'll get wet.
