“A Warm Welcome on a Wet Day”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 15, 2013

It was such a pleasure to fall into No 5 on a miserable saturday morning. We enjoyed a lovely leisurely coffee and an Earl Grey while perusing the papers, and drying out a bit. There was no pressure to 'drink up and go', even though the cafe was fairly busy.
We were even more impressed when we returned the following day, to find that our choice of beverage was remembered from the previous day. That IS attentive service.
No 5 is right in the middle of Mevagissey, on the flat.
(It is a great place to 'park a partner' while essential retail therapy is undertaken!

“Great little place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2013

This is a wonderful cafe based in the heart of Mevagissey. We called in here for coffee and cakes and we were not disappointed. Cakes were fab and so much choice and the surroundings were lovely. Staff were attentive and very friendly and we would highly recommend it to anyone visiting this beautiful part of the UK.

“tasty breakfast, nice clean cafe”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 7, 2013

We spent the morning in Mevagissey recently and were looking for somewhere for a late breakfast. We found this place in the square and it looked smart and clean. The cafe had a nice feel to it and has obviously been done up fairly recently. The menu was good and reasonably priced. We just went for the traditional cooked breakfast which was very tasty. It's a nice relaxing place to pop in for a coffee/meal...it's a shame it isn't located on the harbourfront though as it would be even better if it had views out over the water.

“Two for one, friendly and top grub”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 3, 2013

Having dined and coffee'd here on numerous occasions over the last couple of years I felt it time I said what I thought. The friendliness of the staff and owners is really warming especially on a cold day and the fresh food all cooked to order ( when busy you might wait a short while but it's worth it) is a credit in these times of convienience. The cakes and scones are all baked fresh with a splendid selection, even if I don't have a sweet tooth the carrot cake is scrummy and my wife and granddaughter can vouch for the rest!! Go here.
