Stayed here for an off season break and attended friends wedding in the village. Friendly welcome and brilliant location for a break. You can see the beach from the breakfast table and can walk to a quiet part of the coastal path in 5 minutes. Great pub nearby within short walking distance (the travellers arms). Quiet and clean and more than happy with our stay. I stay away with work all over the country and this is better than places that cost twice as much.
Will hopefully be back when we fancy another break in Cornwall.

We have just returned from a 3 night stay with Rod & Jill Brake at Bre Pen Farm Cornwall. What a warm feeling compared to the overnight stop on the way down in a budget hotel !!! why do we subject ourselves to these ??
Comfortable bedroom, wonderful breakfasts from local produce and a magnificent view from the conservatory to Mawgan Porth beach.I could sit for hours and not read my book for looking at the view !! Fed the lambs and saw the eggs gathered from the chickens on the farm. The yard has Cockerills and ducks roaming - the kids love it !! I have returned home refreshed- the whole atmosphere of the accommodation relaxes you. I would recommend anyone to try it !!

We stayed at Bre-Pen for a week this July and what a lovely week it was! We had one of the upstairs bedrooms which was comfortable and clean and quiet. The bathroom was big, immaculate and had a really good shower and fresh white towels provided every day. The views from our room across the valley were lovely and from the other side of the property you get a fantastic vista of Mawgan Porth beach and the cliffs beyond. Rod and Jill were excellent hosts and really made us feel at home and at ease. Bre-Pen has a lovely, relaxed and informal feel about it considering it's a working farm and guests are able to come and go as they please. On that subject, it's a great place for kids to stay as there are plenty of sheep, rabbits, a very well behaved sheepdog, Gorgeous George - the celebrity cockerill, rabbits, hens, ducks and rabbits... Talking of which... the breakfasts should be a national monument to breakfasts! The choice is excellent - fruit, cereals, yoghurt, juice for the health conscious, or for those who prefer a 'proper job', a full-on, cooked Cornish breakfast that will keep you going until mid afternoon, even after a busy morning surfing! Endless top-ups of tea and toast, all served by Rod - whose humour has to be experienced to be believed! We looked forward to breakfast every day - not just because of Jill's excellent cooking, but because of the entertainment - provided by our hosts and fellow guests. It's easy to make friends at Bre-Pen because it's so welcoming and homely. The location of Bre-Pen is perfect, with direct access to the coastal path from the back of the farm. We think this is one of the best B&B's in Cornwall and hope to return very soon. Proper job.

Located above Mawgan Porth Bay this is a first rate B&B which has a well stocked farm shop and small restaurant attached. A short walk across the fields and you will be on the Coastal Path with magnificent views back towards Newquay. We stayed four nights in a compact but comfortable en - suite upstairs room. There are small gardens with chairs and table and we were welcome to use the large lounge and conservatory. Rod and Jill are caring generous hosts who made us very welcome - even to giving us some of their fresh laid farm eggs to take home! The breakfast they provide is exceptional; all the items of the cooked choice were from the farm itself or local sources and the result is delicious. This is a gem.

One of the best breakfasts in Cornwall, clean comfy rooms and nothing is too much trouble for Rod and Jill. We stayed here for my 50th birthday last July, had a brilliant time. Jon's bistro is well worth a visit, very good value. Will definatelyy be back.

We found Bre Pen by a google search, their website gives a really great overview of what to expect. I was really excited to stay there and they absolutely exceeded our expectations. The rooms were lovely and charming, the hospitality from Jill and Rod was so welcoming. The breakfasts were so generous and delicious and Rod's service was always entertaining. The area is absolutely stunning. If you stay here you must have dinner in Jon's bistro! We loved it!!
