“Speechless”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 16, 2013

Where do you start? Perfect from start to finish and hard to belive, all for £20 per head for 3 courses. No licence so take your own wine. Only open 3 nights a week and covers limited so book ahead !!

Small rustic cafe style but food is of fine dining quality. Only Jon, chef, previously at Jamie Oliver's Fifteen and one front of house, so the whole service and experience has a very personal touch.

The menu is very limited but fear not the food was simply sublime. Starters were either deep fried local cheese with heritage tomatoes and home grown herbs or shrimps with an amazing mayo with summer truffles. The main was slow roasted local pork with asparagus - Awesome !! The sweet was equally as good with strawberries as the centrepiece.

I felt guilty paying so little for such a great meal. This really is a hidden gem so I'd recommend you search it out.

“Very unique and very tasty!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 5, 2013

The food here is exceptional and extremely good value money. It's definitely worth a visit if you're in the area! Jon, the chef, is clearly very passionate about his art and very enthusiastic about good, local produce. His wife, Jen, is the hostess and she is lovely and welcoming.

I can't wait to return!

“A real gem”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 11, 2013

This little place is amazing! Run by husband and wife, Jon and Jen it is a farm shop by day and bistro by night. Jon can be found in the kitchen and Jen is the hostess. With her warm welcome she make you feel at home the minute you walk in the door. The food is out of this world and we have not been disappointed yet. The bistro is very popular locally and you have to book early to get a table. They use fresh local produce and even forage some of the food themselves. Do not miss it if you are in the area!
