“First class B&B”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2013 via mobile

Had a one night stay here and will most certainly be back, from a lovely warm welcome to first class facilities in the room. All the little extras from corkscrews to sewing kits to name but a few, all add up to make this one of, if not the best B&B we have ever stayed in. Breakfast was excellent, and a really lovely friendly couple, we wouldn't change a thing.

A lovely 'grand' B&B with friendly, helpful service! Chris and Heidi came out and welcomed the three of us- even helped with parking as it is a bit tight- on a hill! The room was excellent, spacious, comfortable and clean with free Wi-Fi. Breakfast was yummy but get your orders in before bedtime and pay with cheque or cash.

Room Tip: Top room- for three!

Chris and Heidi run the best B&B we have had the pleasure of staying in. They were there to meet us when we arrived ( in the rain ), and helped us with our luggage. Our room, for 2 adults, 1 child and 1 dog was very comfortable, clean and excellently equipped.
Breakfast was fantastically organised and with lots of choice.
We have no hesitation in recommending them !!

Whilst carrying out a survey of a large property in the area, I had the great benefit of coming across Penrose. Chris and Heidi were, for me, perfect hosts. Chris had carried both my personal case and also my expensive equipment case upstairs before I new it. Both he and Heidi made one feel specially at home. They are both sincere and professional people who work tirelessly to make your stay memorable. Just read the positive comments others have made, I can vouch it is all true.

Eating out in Lostwithiel means a short walk down in to the town. I used The Globe and Asquiths. The Globe very acceptable, but because it was full on my second night there, I came across Asquiths - the food - stunning is all I can say!

Would definitely recommend Penrose and its brilliant owners-Chris and Heidi, thank you again, best wishes, Richard, the surveyor

Very comfortable, friendly and clean B & B. We found it very welcoming. It is a Victorian house and the decor , whilst not in vogue today, is in keeping with the features. The breakfast was excellent, with a great choice including kippers and eggs with smoked salmon, and home made preserves. Great value for money. A good location for a visit to The Eden project.
