“Special!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 18, 2014

Pam doesn't eat burgers - except here! And best I've ever had too. Spent all afternoon here just relaxing, reading, walking on the shore of the River Fowey, exploring the church, visiting Annie's farm equipment museum... and eating Angie's food! Brilliant.

“An oasis”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 12, 2014

Well okay, the walks around here are hardly desert like, but I felt like Lawrence of Arabia - empty water bottle in my pocket long before reaching St Winnow's, with the prospect of another very thirsty three miles back to Lerryn and the car. Then, a whisp of smoke, a cream roof, and a serving hatch with cups of tea being handed out. This is a seriously important service that Angie has been providing, for eighteen years she told me. Open from April 1st until October, or earlier if Easter comes in March, she serves the most wonderful sausages, burgers et al, teas, coffees, etc. Most of the lunchtime punters appeared to work locally, and stragglers like us gradually filled the benches which spread into the farm. The meat is their own, fed by their own corn, and the whole place feels just lovely. I was tempted not to review this place but to keep it as a secret date for next year, but I see it is already blown. I recommend the NT circular walk from Lerryn along the riverside to St Winnow's (beautiful church and hamlet), then back over the fields. That way you may discover in need, as I did, the joys of Angie's Kiosk.

“St Winnow at it's best!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 29, 2014

The best cup of tea for miles around. Great value and an even better view. If you're a walker, a boat keeper, lover of historic buildings, a Daphne du Maurier fan, Poldark fan or just love to sit and gaze at the wonder of beautiful countryside, then this is the place for you.Home reared meats and home baked cakes with local ice cream in a unique setting.

“best burgers in the world”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2014

All Angie's meat is from their own farm. These are the best burgers I have ever tasted and the bacon roles are fantastic. What a treat for all us sailors who keep our boats here.

“Great pork sandwiches and coffee after a canoe”

This is one of the most beautiful settings in Cornwall. If you have got here under your own steam this kiosk is a gift from heaven.
