“Peaceful”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 10, 2013

Nice place to stroll to after breakfast or before bed, or for a seat in the sunshine, watch a train go by or walk over the railway crossing, walk into the park area and collect conkers. Picnic tables and two public BBQs, little beach and shallow enough for a paddle. Watch out for the lone swan that ignored everyone else but took exception to my bare (replacement) knees and came right up and pecked them, strange experience.

“Relaxing stroll along the Fal”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 8, 2013 via mobile

Lovely place to visit steeped in history with a very pleasant walk along the river to the nature reserve. Then back to cool your feet with a paddle, would reccomend having a picnic near the bridge.

“Steeped in history”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 30, 2013

Lovely place to sit by the river and take in the atmosphere of the place. Tudor Bridge is a popular place to picnic. Families enjoy the small beach like area at low tide and it's a popular place for locals to paddle and enjoy. Bridge steeped in history and well worth a visit.

“Lostwithiel old bridge”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2013 via mobile

A lovely spot to while away a sunny morning or afternoon. When the tide is low you can paddle in the river, and on a hot sunny day there are lots of families with children playing in the river and running through the arches. Benches and BBQ facilities are provided by the Council. Not as grassy as it used to be since the floods last Christmas, as there is still a lot of residual sand and debris washed downstream but still very pleasant, There is a shady remembrance garden by the side if you want peace and quiet. Toilets are about 100 yards away, and there are local shops to provide everything you want within a 2 minute walk. You can walk down the river bank, through Coulson Park and get right away from the crowds if you want to.

“Great for young families & free”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2013

The bridge and riverside are pretty year round but comes into it's own on hot sunny days when locals and visitors gather on the banks to picnic or bbq whilst the kids play in the river. Note - river is tidal so low tide perfect for little ones.
