“Fantastic food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 16, 2012

We went to celebrate Sam's graduation and thought it was the best food we had sampled in Cornwall. A fantastic choice of starter, main and puds with the best foccacia as a dipping bread i have ever tasted. the pork and partridge main dishes were superb and the treacle tart was to die for. i would highly recommend it and it presents the best value food there is around.

“Excellent dinner”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 23, 2012

Five of us visited on a Wednesday evening and had a superb meal. Their home treacle cured smoked salmon was fabulous, as was the slow roast belly pork, the baked fish and chicken escalopes. Puddings were delicious. The only slight criticism I would mention is that, although they bake their own bread and it looked divine, they charged extra for it. They didn't even include a piece with my mussels starter which you would expect to mop up some of the delicious sauce. Maybe it was an oversight but the owner/waiter wasn't particularly welcoming/approachable so I didn't bother questioning it (although other reviewers seemed to find him hospitable so maybe he was having an off night). If it wasn't for this, I would have given 5 stars, and it certainly wouldn't put me off visiting again.

“Worth a visit”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 3, 2012

Small restaurant located just off the village square in St Keverne on the Lizard. Food was excellent, particularly main course which was Venison. We chose from the kitchen menu, which considering the food quantity and quality represented excellent value for money. Would certainly eat here again.

“Outstanding Quality and Service in quiet village restaurant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 22, 2012

An intimate and charming small restaurant in a lovely rural village on the Lizard Peninsula.

With only 24 covers the restaurant is expertly managed by Neil and Leonie, with everything freshly prepared from locally sourced supplies of the highest quality. While the menu is small it is well chosen to meet most tastes. The £15 for 2 courses is a very attractive offer and their success is very deserved.

“Great village restaurant”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 14, 2012

We dined here on the last night of our stay in a cottage in St Keverne. It's everything that you want want from a village restaurant, small, cosy, friendly service from the owners and excellent locally sourced food. The food was very good - I don't imagine there are many others better in the area.
