“Brilliant Camp Site”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 20, 2013

Just returned from our4th year camping here and it was as good as ever. Staff are friendly, courteous and keep the camp site spotless. Toilets and shower blocks are regularly cleaned, never had any complaints about cleanliness whilst we have camped there. The camping pitches are spacious and kept in good condition, lots of drinking water taps, fire points well situated. One of the top things for us is that you can camp just several sand dunes from the beach. The Bay Bistro cafe and bar are also a great place for those wet days, though none this year, more like sheltering from the sun and getting liquid refreshments. The food in the Bay Bistro is good value for money and if you order carefully it is fresh (dont just opt for burgers) the Nachos with chilli are sizzling! Looking forward to going again next year - it is ideally situated for exploring the beauties of South Cornwall, Minack, St Ives, Perranporth, etc etc well worth it.

Room Tip: If camping go for the pitches merest the beach.

We had a great holiday. Plenty to do in the evening. Pool could open a little earlier than 9am though. Also, a soft play area in the Bay Bistro would be useful so the little one can play whilst we eat.

First time we'd been to st Ives bay, it will not be the last. We camped for a week, we had a great pitch, close to both the washing area and toilets, which were spotless as they were cleaned numerous times each day. Access to the beach is excellent, but be prepared to reward yourselves on your return at the beachside bar!!!!
Entertainment was on offer every night.
The shop is well stocked for all your needs.
I would highly recommend St Ives Bay.

I absolutely adore St Ives Bay Holiday Park . Every year it gets better. It got to the point that on our last day , my lovely Ellie just didn't want to go home. We love the caravans & love the site. Bring on next year so we can come back to our beloved Cornwall

I used to stay here as a child and this is our second trip as a family in the last few years. We stayed in an A4* chalet, it was clean and well equipped and suited our needs as a young family. The beach is beautiful and the water crystal clear but journey down the dunes is steep from the park and not recommended with a pushchair as the journey back up is seriously hard work - although we did it more than once!
Evening entertainment isn't bad, although we spent more time in the kids room, but must say it was disappointing that the Friday evening magician did pretty much the same act that we saw two years ago - with so many repeat visitors, this does seem a bit silly.
Children's entertainment is good and runs all night alongside adult entertainment. Watch out for Mr Bamboozle though, his balloon making skills are fantastic, sadly he appeared to not like children very much and his attitude was appalling, he was so rude to one child, that had it been my own, I definitely would have complained.
All in all though, this place does what it says on the tin, it provides a lovely holiday setting, staff are friendly and helpful, and with the security on site, you feel safe and comfortable letting your children play. The park is in a great location for accessing all the big attractions, but equally has all that you could ask for if you just want to stay put and enjoy your surroundings.
We will definitely be back again next year!!

Room Tip: A4* chalets are by the entrance and like log style cabins. They are modern and well equipped and sui...

Thanks for a kind review. Your comments regarding entertainment are noted. We can advise on beaches with good access for buggies and wheelchairs - Portreath or Marazion come to mind - but as always just ask!

have just got back from a fantastc week , booked this for me, wife ,16 yr old daughter and her friend after reading trip advisor reviews .
first impressions were good , the guy on the gate was frieindly and helpful , the booking in process was efficient and friendly , as were all the staff i came in contact with .
we stayed in a A5 chalet, i think they have just been refitted , the kitchen was fine , the shower room superb and the beds comfortable , the chalet is spacious and well equiped and was spotless upon arrival .
park itself it in a fantastic spot , great views , wonderful beach -plenty to do on site , we used the tennis and swimming pool, but there's much more on offer , the site's store is well stocked and reasonably priced . even though it is a big site , it never appeared noisy or over crowded .
if you are looking for a well run , reasonaly pricd site in a great location , look no further

if you want to avoid the nightmare of parking in st ives , you can park and ride from lelant saltings , £8 return for a family

We showed up here just to get a camp site for one night. We got a good spot and it was very reasonable. The free wifi and the easy walk to the beach was a plus. We had a nice walk along the beach at night.
