We picked Rosewarne manor for our wedding reception as both myself and my husband love food and it was really important to us that all our guests had a really nice meal for the wedding breakfast on our big day. We didn't want the mass catering that you experience at a hotel reception where everyone has to eat the same and when we went to look around at rosewarne we decided it was the place for us. We had 80 guests to our day, Cyril the owner was really great from the outset helping us with menu choices and ideas how we could make our day personal to us.
We had a formal wedding breakfast with 3 courses and were able to give our guests a great choice - 4 options for a starter, 4 options for a main and 2 different deserts. We sent out the menu choices with our invites and didn't have many guests that were unable to attend! Everyone commented on how much choice there was for the meals. We also had the hot buffet for the evening with 10+ different options which went down a storm.
In the run up to the wedding I had contact with Cyril by email, phone and visits to Rosewarne and it was clear from the outset that he couldn't do enough for us. As questions came up and ideas came together he would be on hand to advise and assist which was great as planning a wedding can be stressful at times.
We went to Rosewarne the night before to set up the room as we had a large function we had exclusive use of the venue. This was great for me as I wanted it to be 'just perfect' and it really was. Cyril set up the cake for us and ensured everything was looking wonderful.
On the day itself everything ran beautifully, the food was amazing, completely out of this world especially the desert platter. All our guests commented to us about the food and how great it was which was lovely to hear as good food was high on our list of priorities for our big day. The service was wonderful, big thanks to all the waiting staff, bar staff and team of exceptional chefs that made it all possible.
I would like to say a personal thanks to Cyril's wife as on the day our 5 year old flower girl had a glass of red wine spilt down the front of her princess dress. I have never seen her so upset, she was inconsolable. Cyril's wife took her dress and cleaned it and dried it and managed to get the red wine out all whilst Sennen was eating her dinner so Sennen was able to put her princess dress back on, this was such a lovely thing that she did as it made a little girl very happy, big THANKS :)
Colin the DJ was fantastic, we booked this through Rosewarne and I would highly recommend him, he had the dance floor full all night and I have not danced that much in such a long time.
The bridal suite was state of the art and Cyril stocked the fridge for us for breakfast items of our choice which was a nice touch as we were able to wake up and cook our first breakfast as newly weds together. My husband loves black pudding and Cyril ensured we had an extra special chocolate black pudding made by the wonderful chef.
I could write and write about the reasons why Rosewarne is the perfect venue for a wedding reception but in a nutshell if you want fabulous food, fabulous location, private surroundings, the personal touch and a day you'll never forget then this is the place for you.
A big thanks to Cyril, Colin and the team of dedicated staff at Rosewarne for a fabulous day, we are truly grateful to you all for our perfect day :)
