“nice food, lovely views”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 14, 2013

This is a brilliant pub restaurant that is used by locals as well as visitors.2 course Meal for 6 with drinks about £90/100 .nice choice on both the lunch and evening menu . check the entertainment schedule as it does get really busy in summer and you can't usually make a table reservation. The views of the sea and Crantock beach are lovely . been here a few times and pretty good service every time. If you want a quieter area with no children use the old original bar area as no children are allowed here.

Thank you for your positive feedback about your recent visit to The Bowgie. We are pleased that you appreciate the snug bar area being a child free zone, it is nice that we have separate areas with different atmospheres. We look forward to seeing you again soon!

“Dogs welcome !!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed February 8, 2013 via mobile

Arrived at the bowgie after walking are dog for two hours looking forward to lunch but was disappointed that dogs were not allowed in the the bar area. The weather was not good so I did not want to have a hot lunch in the cold with this pub being on the coast you think they would be welcome people with there dogs especially in the winter months so sorry to say we left and went to mermaid were we had a lovely lunch in the warm and our dog was welcome,

We are sorry you had not realise that dogs are not allowed inside the pub.

Dogs are very welcome in the garden and on the terrace, and in the summer months many people visit with their dogs.

I am glad that you found a pub to cater for your needs.

We look forward to welcoming you to The Bowgie another time or perhaps in the warmer months when you can sit outside on the sun deck.

Thank you for your comments.

“Microwave Chef”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed February 1, 2013

Was very disapointed, rocked up there especially as its out of the way. Amazing stormy day and got served a load of prepackaged food straight from the freezer section of the local cash and carry which was then as bland as stuff from the microwave.

Thank you for taking the time to review The Bowgie Inn, we are sorry you were disappointed.

Many of our dishes are homemade and we have a wide selection of homemade Curries, Quiches, Steak Pies, Lasagnes.

We buy groceries from our local Cash & Carry, most pubs do I imagine, however we do not serve prepackaged meals.

We would welcome you to visit us again and chose somehing from our homemade specials board. Or try one of our Steaks.
