“Excellent Holiday - Great Park”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 21, 2013 via mobile

Just returned from from First visit to Crantock Beach - having previously stayed at other parks in the area ( Including Neighbour at Hollywell Bay ). I was really impressed with the park - the caravans and the facilities were spotless, the staff friendly and efficient and the whole atmosphere perfect for a relaxing week. Was worried before we arrived that my 14 year old son might find the stay "boring" but fears unfounded. The Bar / Club was just right - space to sit and relax with a drink, menu good if eating and no overbearing entertainment - oh and the wifi worked ! Local amenities are good, the scenery is great and the beach is probably one of the best you could find in the area. If you are looking for a typical "Hi-De-Hi" Holiday Park with all the facilities and extra costs then his is probably not the place for you - but if you are looking for good value, simple and safe location and a well run park close to Newquay and surrounding area, then this is well worth a try. I would have no hesitation making a future visit or in recommending to others.

This quiet caravan park was pure perfection for our family. The staff are friendly, helpful and always obliging. The shop and takeaway are very nice. Our 12-ft caravan was perfect for me being 6ft 3in and we enjoyed good night sleeps all week. The beach is a gentle 10 minute stroll away and in the village there is the Old Albion Inn which is the wonderful discovery of a lifetime. We would love to return to this perfect part of Cornwall.

Been going here for 4 years now. It is a small quiet park with limited amenities compared to large parks with their indoor swimming pools and flumes, but it has a pathway down to the beach so what more could you want (5-10 minutes walk). If you have kids and lots of stuff, parking at the beach is £3.50 to £5 depending on how close you want to be, but the National Trust car park is obviously free if you are a member. Unmarked lanes to get to the caravan park are very narrow so it's fingers crossed if you meet someone else and some careful reversing. I always go here on the cheap so am probably in the most basic caravans they have. All have been okay so far and are clean which is all I really care about. I always take my own bedding so I use their quilts as mattress protectors .... makes the beds much more comfy! Staff have always been lovely when we check in. On site facilities: small children's play area/adventure park, laundry, shop, bar, takeaway. In Crantock village (5-10 minutes walk) tea rooms, shop, two pubs. If you want somewhere quiet and don't mind driving into Newquay for something to eat, this is a great park. If you want lots of amenities on site, chose a larger park.

We have just spent 7 nights at Crantock Beach and were very impressed. Caravan was clean, spacious and had amazing sea views, the beach was stunning and the village idyllic....what more could you ask for! a very friendly and quiet site with lovely walks, fab scenery and extremely clean and well kept. Good pubs in village, tea rooms, gift shop and post office/shop. The friendliness of the village locals is second to none. Visit the Bowgie at the top end of the village, the view is fab and good live music. Would definitely visit again!
