“Excellent - Streaks ahead of the rest”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 12, 2009

I first stayed at Trerosewill Farm house in 1999. I stopped there on 'spec'. I returned again later that year. Since then have been back twice a year ever since. Every visit has been excellent. Cheryl & Steve and their staff make everyone so welcome. I have stayed at many B & B around the UK and this one is streaks ahead in every way. The Superb location high up above Boscastle, with Atlantic views whilst having breakfast in the conservatory and what a superb breakfast it is too. A choice of various fresh fruits and juices, with a large choice of cereal. Home made brown & white bread, marmalade & jam. The choice of hot cooked food is superb. All served so efficiently by themselves or their staff.
The bedrooms are on par with the quality of the breakfast, always well presented and spotless, as are the en suites, which have a good selection of linen. The fridge in the room is well stocked with drinks and fresh milk for coffee and tea making. A good variety of tea's and coffee's and other hot drinks are in the rooms. Bed's are so very comfortable.

Coupled with the location, with plenty of walks which can be made from the farm and nice eating places in the village, it is a truly idyllic place to stay.

This has got to be the best bed and breakfast i'v ever stayed in. My boyfriend and I stayed at trerosewill farm house for 2 nights in May to get away for my birthday. My parents had stayed there 2 years before and recommended it.
We stayed in the Lundy View Suit which is seperated from the main building. It was nice and spacious, it was worth the extra money just to have a bit more space to yourself. There was self catering facilities, dish washer, washing machine, large fridge, dining table and chairs. The bath room was great, with everything you could possible need in there. I especially like the large jacuzzi bath!
We had a sea view from the main lounge and in the mornings you go acorss to the main building and have breakfast in the conservatory which also has a sea view.Breakfast is delicious by the way! The hosts were really friendly and welcoming. We had a great few days down there, boscastle is a beautiful place, really peaceful, great to get away from it all for a while. There is a hot tub as well which would have been lovely to go in but the weather was so windy that unfortunatly we didnt get the chance.
The only slight complaints were that the magazines in the lounge were about a year out of date and the fruit in our fruit basket wasnt that fresh (one of two pieces slightly mouldy). Also a couple of cans ok coke in the fridge were a few weeks out of date. Although to be honest we had such a great time there that those small details didnt bother us much. This is such a lovely place to stay, i'd highly recommend it to couples and families!

We stopped for 4 nights. The location and view are lovely. The geese wanted to chase us at first, but were very friendly after a bit of bread. The local pubs do good food. There's a folder in the room which lists everything you're likely to need to know such as restaurants, activities, etc. Would recommend it.

We wanted to go somewhere that was memorable to spend our 40th wedding anniversary. We didn't want somewhere impersonal either. We got both of these wishes. From the first telephone contact to make the booking we knew we had made the right decision. Cherly's friendliness indicated that our choice was well founded.

We arrived a little early and after a walk around Boscastle, we were greeted at the door by Michelle who immediately made us welcome with a lovely pot of tea and cake, which we ate in the Sitting Room. We noticed the array of information books and maps and sat down to read one or two. There was a comprehensive guide to local restaurants, what to do in wet weather etc. All this before we saw our room, which was in the Annexe.

The Valency suite is the top floor of the annexe and from the moment we opened the door we felt 'at home'. It was warm, clean and comforting. Fresh milk which had been placed in the fridge for us, showed the attention to detail. We spent a very comfortable night and looked forward to our 'cornish' breakfast.

We were greeted by Steve as we went in the front door and immediately a rapport was built up through rugby. The breakfast, cooked fresh to order, was superb. Cherly makes a point of greeting her guests individually each morning and chats with them. At our table an anniversary card and some of the delicious cornish chocolates from Cheryl and Steve had been left. This was so thoughtful and very much appreciated. You sit at a different table in the beautiful conservatory each morning, so that every guest during their stay has at least one day of looking out over the sea.

As we left for the day and after speaking with Steve about music, he lent us a CD of Cornish Songs which seemed appropriate to be playing as we drove around the villages on route to Roc. This was a destination from which we took a ferry to Padstow. Parking was easier this way. A tip given to us by Steve that morning.

A meal that night at the Riverside and a trip to the Eden Project the next day, followed by a fish supper at the Welly ended off our trip. We look forward to returning, perhaps in May, but have to check other commitments for that month. Regrettfully the weather did not encourage the use of the hot tub.

If you are looking for home from home friendly comfort in the North Cornwall area, then look no further,

Easily a top rated B&B. They think of everything. The breakfasts are delicious and extensive, the rooms are very luxurious, the views fabulous and the staff friendly and happy..not always the case in Cornwall. Book it now, it's a sure bet and you won't be disappointed.

5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 7, 2008

We stayed at Trerosewill farmhouse for 3 nights in July, staying in the 'Lundy View Suite' on a bed and breakfast basis. This suite is separate from the main farmhouse, and comprises of 2 double bedrooms, bathroom, small kitchen and lounge/dining area with a beautiful sea view. (It can be hired as a self catering apartment at other times of the year).

We did not view any of the bedrooms in the main farmhouse, but our experience of the Lundy View Suite was that the accommodation was exceptional on all accounts. It was very comfortabably funished, offered ample space to relax, had a comprehensive information pack, and offered 'luxury' perks more often associated with quality hotel accommodation e.g. mini bar in fridge, and jacuzzi spa bath in our bathroom!

Breakfast was served in the main farmhouse every morning in the beautiful conservatory with widespread views of the surrounding coastline. The breakfast was of a very high quality, with lovely 'homely' touches such as home-made bread, jam and yoghurt, as well as an extensive cooked breakfast menu.

The owners of the farm were very welcoming, friendly and helpful (without being intrusive) and obviously work hard to maintain such high standards.

Overall I would throughly reccommened a stay at Trerosewill Farmhouse in the Lundy View Suite. Everything from the friendly welcome with a tray of tea and homemade cake, to the accommodation, breakfast and location is great! A memorable stay in a beautiful part of Cornwall, we'll be back!

This is a very well kept bed and breakfast. The rooms were very clean and the bathrooms well appointed. Our hosts were friendly and accomodating giving excellent suggestions about local eateries etc. The breakfasts in the morning were delicious and the views of the ocean memorable. We will return.
