“CANT BEAT THE GRUB”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 24, 2013

Great value, tasty food with a warm welcome to match the warming fire. It was a quiet evening but no early closing of the kitchen, just simple friendly service and tasty food and good beer. A pleasure to eat there. Recommended.

“A great, quirky pub with friendly staff and good ale.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 11, 2013

Visited this pub while on a vacation in Cornwall. Cosy atmosphere, a decent selection of real ale on tap, and friendly staff (particularly the gent who appeared to be the landlord who was taking care of getting everyone a place to seat on quite a busy night). Food was good, nothing amazing though. I'll definitely go back if I pass through Boscastle again!

“Unspoiled and continues to please”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 2, 2013

This is a great pub and as most people will find their way there as its on the Main Street in Boscastle - it shouldn't need a review to convince you to visit. What is special though, is the history within the place. It's original and unspoiled rather than an IKEA flat packed feel as a lot of other pubs have fallen back to. A good selection of ales remain and the food is excellent and efficiently served. For me, the best pub in Boscastle.

“A superb Sunday Carvery”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 22, 2012

I do not normally make reports on places I have done before, but I must make an exceptiion and conmment on the Sunday Carvery I had there recently. I have always enjoyed eating at Cobweb for the good honest pub grub they provide. However I tried their Sunday Carvery for the first time. This is in a class of its own.The quality of the meats was outstanding, and the potatoes and vegetables all freshly prepared, the size of the servings were almost obscene. (To be honest been too much for me) This has got to have the best carvery meal I have ever had.
