we went to london for my sister and daughters birthdays to see the lion king.
we got to the hotel and in reception the reception bloke was not really interested in talking to us properly. all he was interested in was getting the money he slapped a form on the counter
for us to sign. ushered us to our room. when we got to our room it was like a hovel. worn out furniture badly painted walls and stains on the ceiling over the larger bed and stinky bathroom. the carpark was outside our window so we had people loitering around and nattering at all hours outside luckily the bars on the window stopped them getting in.
We also had the fire door outside our door and had people going in and out of it at all hours of the day and night. to top this off the following day after my daughter speaking to the receptionist about the football match and the place being covered by police and not to come back until after seven oclock when it clears we were on our way to the lion king at one oclock when my husband phoned and said they just called him about our room and that they were chucking our bags out of the rooms as we should have left that morning as we booked for two nights we could not understand this so one of our party had to go back and sort this out and missed the show costing more money as we already paid for the tickets. we had to go home that evening because they already rented the rooms out to football fans and we could not get another room because every thing was booked up. so they ruined our weekend and we will never go their again and warn other people dont go there.

Booked this hotel through laterooms.com and it stated my card had been charged, actually called late rooms who confirmed this. Turned up and was told the card had been declined and had to pay cash, had no call or emails from the hotel about the 'declined' card.
massively massively inconvenienced and couldnt find a soul who seemed to know what they were talking about. Then was called a liar by the hotel manager because i said on laterooms it states you take the payment at the time of booking. I called the hotel a few days before the arrival to check we had parking as was attending on a semi cup final day. Was told categorically yes we had parking. Parking spaces had been sold on to non guests and i was left to my own devices resulting in a further £30 charge. All round bad experience and would not stay there again!

No way was I paying £100 for a room by the areana. The location was perfect and easy to find. We Booked a double room for us got a room with 2 beds, guess that mightbe tecnacally what I booked?
Room was hard to find, layout is very strange, I think our door was through the understairs cupboard. Room was clean but very tatty, wallpaper ripped of and painted over, skirting boards patched up. Shower was supprisingly hot and with a decent rate of water, far better then I expected. In the great age of freeview we had 3 channels that were barely watchable.
Building is very noisey, all the firedoors echo throughout the building, floorboards are noisey and corridoor has unexpected dips and rises in it. We were woken by the neighbours comming in early morning, and she never shut up. Manager had come down twice by 5am and threatened to chuck her out, we could hear every word she said.
Breakfast is very disorganised, Im not sure even the staff understand each other, no knives avalable, manager had to explain 4 times that they needed to cook another 2 breakfasts for us on top of the 3 they were already cooking, very slow. I would take the toast and cornflakes included and find a greasy spoon type for brunch if you want cooked, it will be far less trouble.

Room Tip: dont get room 44, the floorboards outside that door are so noisy we commented on it everytime we wen...

i stayed here with my parents for 4 nights. the location is very very good...3 minutes walk from the tube.we where able to check in hours before the check in time, the room was tidy, with clean shower and toilet, clean towels and nice sheets, and very comfty beds ,and the room was cleaned every day, so you have clean towels evey day after your hot shower :) the breakfast was okey...toast, jam, cornflakes, tea. you can also use the wifi , and they have a printer too.
staff is very nice and friendly.
if you are visiting london on a budget, and you dont want to spend a lot off money on the hotel, this is your place:D

What a [--], i would expect prison to be better than this hotel, breakfast was ok if you like cornflakes or cornflakes.
We checked in and were given our room then straight out to watch the football. We returned at midnight and went straight to sleep. At 4am the poster woke us up demanding we come t reception and pay for our room. Must have woken half of the hotel up shouting and knocking at our door. Not sure why they didnt take my payment on arrival or when we got in but 4am was not the time i know that. Couldnt sleep after so spoilt the weekend.
