“Great breakfast but the Townies are to die for!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2013 via mobile

Lovely start to a day in Twickenham. Perfect breakfast, good coffee and took away 2 "townies" for later. These are 100% awesome!! Be warned, it takes 2 to eat one.

“a brilliant cafe!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 19, 2013

The range and quality of food is excellent as are the attentive staff. A very relaxed and informal atmosphere, perfect for starting the day (or for a light lunch).
All food is home made with love and dietary requirement options are fully catered for!
We love it!

“Better and Better!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 19, 2013

I reviewed Lulu'z back in April and at that time only rated it as very good. What WAS I thinking! Since then I always come here when having a dinner party to get dessert. The owner and staff are always lovely and attentive, the pastries brilliant and unique, as beautiful to look at as they are to eat. Finally made time to go in for lunch to try the food and thought it was so good that I have now upped their score to excellent. Had a simple Greek Salad and it was fresh as a daisy! Lots of chunky vegetables and plenty of feta cheese in a nice, tart, lemony dressing. This place really doesn't put a foot wrong.

“Afternoon delight!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2013 via mobile

After a rather unpleasant start to the day, we decided to grab a quick bite for lunch locally and opted for LuLu'z. I am so glad we did as the experience turned my day from a negative into a positive within minutes. We received a warm welcome and decided on iced coffees and the brunch muffin which consisted of delicious sausages, bacon, eggs and a really tasty slow roasted tomato - the first time I have seen my partner eat a cooked tomato in the 8 and a half years together!

The service was friendly, the food was prompt and so delicious, I couldn't believe what good value it was. After we finished we decided to take a couple of cakes for afters and the lovely lady serving us spotted that I am pregnant and so talked me through which ones had a lot of egg in such as the custard tarts. We went for a townie which was a buttery pastry case filled with a delicious chocolatey filling and topped with walnuts and a refreshingly light blueberry cheesecake.

Overall the only thing I'm sorry about is that it has taken us so long to finally get our bums through the door. Absolutely fantastic!

“Awesome Family Breakfast and Great Cakes - all with great Service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 24, 2013

We were staying at the Travelodge across the road from Luluz.
Travelodge have the usual "All you can eat breakfast" for something like £8 and really is only quantity not quality. Thankfully we saw Luluz across the road and decided to try there for quality!

From the moment we stepped into Luluz we were welcomed and our nearly 2 year old twins were given some special attention. We ordered a cooked breakfast which not only was cheaper than our hotel but was so much better we could hardly believe how well it was cooked. The Twins had a scone each with jam which they enjoyed and (sadly) we didn't get to finish off for them as we were given their leftovers to eat later on in the day so they got to enjoy the baking later as well! The quality was excellent and the owner of the cafe made sure we had everything we needed with excellent service.

The only downside was that the table was a little small for the 4 of us - as our twins have a nasty habit of reaching for our food instead of eating their own. But thankfully the owner effortlessly made best use of the space.

We were so impressed we went back the next day for some cakes to take with us to eat at the airport and it was a great way to finish our trip south.

If we are ever in the area again we will be back - for breakfast or lunch or just the cakes!
