“Not he best not the worst”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 25, 2013

Staff friendly, room small and hot, could do with a lick of paint but overall it's ok for a night as long as the weather isn't too hot. Although they do provide fans, I would imagine the noise of the fan wouldnt contribute to a good nights sleep. The room was clean enough and the complimentary toiletries were a +.
Breakfast-I'm sure was very nice but the hot plate was empty by the time we got there (within breakfast time) the staff were struggling to replenish the empty plates but have to say didn't do too well.
Location is great for a walk either into Shepperton or a 15min walk into beautiful Walton on Thames.

Overall the hotel for the price was for me a 5 out of 10. Could do with some minor improvements.

Room Tip: No lift in hotel so beware if you are unable to use stairs

We had our wedding reception at Harrisons Hotel and I would thoroughly recommend this lovely hotel for a any celebration. Comfortable function suite with lovely private garden at the rear where we had our arrival drinks and canapés. The food was excellent as was service. Thank you Jo, Abi, James and the rest of the staff at Harrisons. We had a truly lovely day.

After reading some of the Reviews was dubious coming here, but my Husband & I, found the Hotel very nice, the rooms had all that you needed, the breakfast was lovely. well worth a stay.
Excellant if going to Thorpe Park, 10 min drive & Train Station round the corner, were you can get a Train into London City.
good all round Hotel

The room I stayed in was a large single. It was spacious, clean and quiet. The staff were very helpful and friendly, when they could be found. Understaffed would be the word to describe the Hotel. I had meals in the Hotel and they were very nicely presented and the food itself very tasy and well cooked.
I dont understand where the description LUXURY comes from when describing British Hotels. Harrisons is not alone here. Most British Hotels seem to be described as LUXURY. This hotel is a well presented, clean and very comfortable Hotel with a nice beer garden and serves good food. The staff are welcoming and make you feel 'comfortable'.

Good, newish bathroom and great breakfast. Staff were nice enough. The room was not terribly clean. Bedding, coffee cups, cutlery, carpets etc. But as a cheap stopover it was acceptable. Good to have the extra car park across the road.

We booked a one night night at Harrisons, as part of a whistlestop stay in the local area. Whilst the location by the riverside is great, and a comfortable nights sleep, we were dissapointed by the basics of hotel stays. Certainly not 'luxury' as their website suggests.

On arrival we had to find somebody to check us in after patiently waiting front of house. The same with checking out; we had to interrupt a staff cigarette break to check out, and were less than impressed by the cigarette packet behind reception. Clearly not proffessional standards.

The bedroom was a fantastic size, with everthing that you would expect, although slighlty shabby around the edges (hooks with no pictures, worn paint etc).

We didn't eat our main meal there, so cannot comment on that, however breakfast was un-inspiring. Coffee sent without milk, cold eggs and food that had clearly been in the buffet trays for whole service.

Overall, dissapointing hotel in a beautiful area.

The food was excellent, well presented and breakfast was lovely a wide range to choose from.
The location is great and the garden is lovely
