“cramped for overnight but works”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 13, 2013

I had an early departure from Term 4 and it made sense to simply stay in the terminal itself the night before rather than a very early rise and risk being delayed in commute traffic out of the City.
Cabin is tiny, but manages to squeeze in a ¾ bed, wet room style shower/basin/toilet and a three foot wide space between them. A lot of suitcase swapping is required from one side to another in order to access stuff. It needs more hooks for clothes, such as behind the door. TV and free internet both work very well. A large extra towel was delivered promptly on request.
One gripe that was partially fixed: it was over-heated to the point where I felt claustrophobic but no personal controls are available. Evidently the airport controls the air-conditioning. This is fine for the big open spaces, but not in a small sealed cabin. The solution by the front desk crew was to unscrew a cover from the ceiling which let in cooler air. This helped to an extent, but I still felt too warm.
In general it was quiet, corridor traffic/noise was minimal on the back row (which I recommend vs the front row). Ventured out for a drink and food at the Wetherspoons located conveniently outside the Yotel entrance. I did not order any food or beverage services to the room.
I can't imagine how more than one person can manage in the small cabin – next time I will book a deluxe cabin. Great concept, however, recommended.

Room Tip: The second row has less corridor traffic/noise.

I booked two rooms, but missed a flight. Due to the restrictive pre-pay policy, I was charged about 200 pounds for a service which I was never able to utilize. I believe if you are renting by the hour, at an airport no less, there should be some flexibility. Although, I did read the policy and pre-pay. They win and I lost. Live and learn.

No frills, very small and minimalistic room with a great shower. No natural light. Quick check in and hotel staff were very friendly. Located inside terminal 4 next to weatherspoon pub. Cafe Rouge restaurant is also located in the terminal.

We stayed here for a few hours while on a 10 hour layover at Heathrow. The room was tiny, but functional and very clean, and a good place for a sleep and a shower. Well worth the money, and much better than the alternative, which was many hours in Terminal 5 with a bored and tired 6 year old!

Room Tip: It's worth going for the premium room for the extra space, but 2 can squeeze into the standard r...

Look at their mobile site for discounts, I got 20 % off because I booked from their mobile site and paid it with PayPal.

Ok, so this hotel. Why I didn't know about this earlier? So many boring hours spent on Terminal 3. It's just as good as the reviews say. Check in was easy, room was clean, sleep quality was good and the shower was great.

If I ever again have some extra hours to spend in Heathrow - this is my choice.

I booked from 6.30 on Sunday for an early flight on Monday.
I was able to leave all my luggage in the room, check out the journey to Terminal 5 and print out my boarding card before going to bed.
My room was very comfortable and quiet, unlimited hot drinks available at the check in desk.
Only downside was the transfer from Terminal 4 to 5: no dedicated shutle, I had o go out of the terminal and catch a public transport bue he ading for Hounslow or Richmond.
These came at about 15 mjnute intervals and took 25 minutes to travel round the airport.
The Gatwick Yotel is better placed with a dedicated shuttle between terminals

Room Tip: Standard rooms have bunks which may be at ground level or need a ladder. high bunks have more spac...

Convenient location - Terminal 4 at Heathrow (free train between the terminals) - don't have to leave the airport (do have to clear immigration, which can take some time).
Clean, nice comfortable bed, great monsoon shower - really helped with sleeping and taking the travel fatigue away.
This really works for us when we have long layovers at Heathrow.
Cabins are really small but space is efficiently used.
The cabin were quite, but should be sound proof.
