I had an early departure from Term 4 and it made sense to simply stay in the terminal itself the night before rather than a very early rise and risk being delayed in commute traffic out of the City.
Cabin is tiny, but manages to squeeze in a ¾ bed, wet room style shower/basin/toilet and a three foot wide space between them. A lot of suitcase swapping is required from one side to another in order to access stuff. It needs more hooks for clothes, such as behind the door. TV and free internet both work very well. A large extra towel was delivered promptly on request.
One gripe that was partially fixed: it was over-heated to the point where I felt claustrophobic but no personal controls are available. Evidently the airport controls the air-conditioning. This is fine for the big open spaces, but not in a small sealed cabin. The solution by the front desk crew was to unscrew a cover from the ceiling which let in cooler air. This helped to an extent, but I still felt too warm.
In general it was quiet, corridor traffic/noise was minimal on the back row (which I recommend vs the front row). Ventured out for a drink and food at the Wetherspoons located conveniently outside the Yotel entrance. I did not order any food or beverage services to the room.
I can't imagine how more than one person can manage in the small cabin – next time I will book a deluxe cabin. Great concept, however, recommended.
