“Excellent hotel and location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 19, 2013

Good Points:
- Good clean decor and furniture (very new hotel)
- Enough storage for a weekend away / overnight stay
- Very clean (bar a long black hair in the shower and a dirty mark on shower curtain)
- Nice atmospheric lighting around headboard
- Enough choice of TV channels
- Bottle opener installed on dressing table (nifty!)
- Cannot hear other guests through walls
- Shower nice and hot, medium strength
- Full length mirror
- Staff were very friendly and welcoming
- Very close to Hounslow Central tube station (less than a 2 minute walk)
- Next door to local shop and takeaways (14" pizza for £5 - epic)

Bad Points:
- No mugs or spoons on the 1st night, room cleaned in the morning and still no mugs or spoons! Had to go to reception to ask for them
- Only 1 set of towels for a double (1 bath and 1 hand towel)
- No where to put soap / shower gel in shower other than the floor
- Would have liked a power socket near bed, they were all over the other side of the room

A great convenient place to stay which me and my partner thoroughly enjoyed and wouldn't hesitate to go back to.

Room Tip: Keep your window closed if you don't want to hear planes and distant nightclub noise. The window...

The hotel was only open a few months so everything was new - fresh and clean. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Like all travelodges the room is very basic but fuctional. We were only staying 1 night for a rugby match at Twickenham. Incidentally, Twickenham is only a 30 minute walk. The nearest tube station - Hounslow Central - is only 100 yards away and is on the Picadilly Line two stops from Heathrow airport.
We sat up on the Saturday night and they were happy to service the bar into the wee small hours and prices were very reasonable. Breakfast was up to 11 o'clock on Sunday and was adequate.
If you are just looking for somewhere to lay your head while you visit London via Heathrow, this place is ideal.

It was delightful to stay in a new hotel for 2 nights on a weekend in London to take in a show and do some sightseeing. The hotel was clean and tidy and quiet. I would definately use this one again. Breakfast very filling.

Room Tip: Use an Oyster card to explore London

Stayed at this very new Travelodge in March 2013. It had only been open a few weeks so everything was brand spanking new.

The room was basic and not particularly comfortable. There were no cupboards or drawers to put things in. No bedside table - just a tiny cubby hole in the headboard. The duvet was very thin and not cosy at all.

There were tea and coffee making facilities and a chair and table..

The staff were very friendly and welcoming.

The location is good - Hounslow Central is a few mins walk away and Hounslow main shopping area is a short walk.

I only paid £27 per night so this room was good value and fine if you don't want to pay for a lot of frills.

Room Tip: I was in Room 101 - on the first floor. Overlooking a side road so quite quiet.

I had been coming to Hounslow ofetn for business staying in various hotels nearby, watching as this new Travelodge was being built. I promised myself I'd stay once it was opened so booked here for my March meeting.

My experiences with Travelodge in the past were patchy. Some adequate, some so poor that I had to write to the managment to complain. So I was very pleasantly suprised with this new Travelodge. Opened only 2 months, it was a pleasure to be one of the first to use the bedding and the facilities. The bed itself was quite comfortable and the shower room was now a nice "pre-molded" type that meant it was easy to keep clean and I didn't have to worry about splashing on the floor. Despite a cold snap, the room was warm and cozy.

Biggest suprise was the meal in the restaurant. I was tired and didn't feel like leaving to hotel so resigned myself to a generic hotel/bar meal. The person behind the bar who took my order was very friendly and chatty and my meal arrived swiftly but not so swift as to be "microwaved" in some back room. The food was prepared in the kitchen, the meat well cooked, the vegetables nicely done, the salad fresh and crisp. I even managed to stuff in a pudding and enjoyed it all.

I arrived by public transportation, with the hotel less than five minutes from Hounslow Central tube stop. For anyone going on to Heathrow, this wouldn't be a bad place to stay as Hounslow Central is just a few stops away from Heathrow on the Picadilly line. There seems to be a small car park in the back. Parking in Hounslow can be difficult so it's worth checking with the hotel if you're bringing a car.

It's nice to see Travelodge pulling itself up in the economy hotel market. Hopefully all of their newer hotels will keep to this standard and if they can pull up some of their older hotels, then I'm happy to have Travelodge back on my list prefered economy hotels.

Room Tip: I stayed in a room that faced the back of the hotel so it was nice a quite and the upper floors allo...
